kinda went by the way side but I may if I can ever get some free time (and figure either zmod or blender out)...maybe I'll sit the next series or two out and get back into it.
it's always in the back of my mind and i have a few ideas about getting the terrain in....anyone using autocad 2010 with the google earth extension?

Thanks ;D
The autocad thing is a bit of an aside but here's the thing:
!!warning technicial stuff ahead!!
Using the google earth extension for autocad to retrieve a site image from google earth (typicaly for an architectural site plan background image) will also import the topographic contuour mesh from google into autocad. Now that's easier than mapping site contours by hand.
My issue is that I've moved on from autocad (to more better BIM software) about 5 years ago, although I have autocad installed at work I don't have the extension 'cause all I ever use it for is a quick purge. So I'm looking for someone who maybe uses it professionally (the extensions are subscription based) who would be willing to take 5min. out of the work day to snag a site or two.
