We will once again be having an LFS series this coming summer. Details to follow in late spring.
Here is an old video that was created by our good friends from Killer Racing Team, Blamaz.

So far it's been working top knotch without any lag at all. If anyone wants to use it for testing or what not please feel free. If you have any questions just shoot me a PM. Server Name: Speedsims

I will certainly look into it as it is an interesting post in that forum. Having different layouts would make it a new challenge for sure.! I'll keep an eye on it, and hope it'll be unlocked before we we'll kick off this series. cheers, Triz

Keep in mind, that Open configurations have : no racing line / no racing line rubber / no wrong way detection / no limited object drawing lists / no echo map / no light map / no blue or yellow flags.Looking forward to this series anyway, I havent fired up LFS in over a year

I was reading that thread this morning. With the above info that Burnout mentioned, it almost sounds like it would be paradise for cruise servers, but not great for race servers. Well, I'll wait until it's released before saying more on this.

So that we can test it in the fullest extend. It is an appealing idea for sure, worth taking a look at. We'll see cheers, Triz

I'm sure the absence of flags shouldn't be a huge issue if everyone uses common sence.
Yellow--> Just watch what's going on in front of you, and on the mini-map. If you see someone spinning/slow/off any kind of path on the mini-map, slow down.
Blue--> Watch on the minimap, check if anyone's coming. If there's anyone, check his name on the top of the car. Check on the position list. If he's in front of you in the rankings, let him pass, it's a blue flag. If he's behind you in the rankings, defend the place.
See, in endurance racing there are no reliable info about blue flags in case of time-outs. Yet there are very few problems with that, as long as everyone uses common sence.
On AutoX courses, there are no flags at all, and here again, there aren't so many problems with that. And there's no mini-maps on them even!
And who knows, maybe some people will work on insims to enable flags on open configs.

Yann, in endurance racing you have a mate telling you if the car behind is fighting for position or not. Otherwise it would be a huge mess, considering disconnections and such That said, the level of common sense here is quite high, so Im pretty confident it would work even without flags. No one would dare to break rules when nothing escapes The Eye of the admins ;D

And never seen any real problems with that and yep the all seeing eyes of the admins will be there too hehe
