Drivers on reserve list could (and should !) join warmup practice on race day. Short before qualifying session starts, admins will check for how many drivers are there, and may ask some (from reserve list) to leave. In case there's more drivers than assigned places on the grid So if you are on reserve list, you actually will only know short before Q session if you can join the race On previous series there was only *very* few drivers from reserve list that actually had to leave after warmup. And in all cases that I remember, that wasn't even because of too few places on the grid, but because of having shown lack of driving skill/track knowledge in warmup |
