hey guys,, i'm looking forward to my second race at pheonix, though it's not one of my fav tracks, due to turn 1, hehe, very hard to hit right consistently  anyway,, checked around for some real sprint cup lap times,, seems 26.6s is a good avg. time,, kennseth had a q lap of 26.275 last yr,, thats pretty fast,,  so, here's a good base set,, mainly for the dedicated rc racers who don't run ovals much,, wit a lil practice, u can easily run consistent 26.6s and dip into the 26.5s. See ya monday night,, anybody have any tips for pheonix,, feel free to post,, anything helps,, thanks.  Attachments:

i don't want to jinx myself, but i think i'm finally starting to figure out turn 1,, i have a 26.4 now  wohooooooo ;D why do i get the feeling someone is laughing, with one of those evil laughs |

Hey Cruise... thanks for the setup. Will definately try this tonight!! your welcome and thank you, and all the guys who keep heat alive with new mods and tracks, and racing events, etc,, G3 is an awsome mod! ;D btw,, if u, or anybody that can make since of crash logs, get a chance,, can u take a look at this, my heat crashed to desktop at end of off line race when i hit escape,, hasn't done it since, but jus want to make sure i don't have a prob some where  cya tonight Attachments:

Cyas there. it's np ;D and i was jus pokin fun at the wickedly fast drivers, hehe  btw,, the gearing,,3rd, may seem weired, but i kept it close to 4th so u could shift to 3rd for turn 1,, just change it to work for u,, but if u change 4th or final to get higher rpms, the car will get to hot and lose power,, the closer u get to 240,, the less power u have cya tonight |

For some reason the computer cant find your pit stall and your game will crash. So basically you waited to long to end the game, and your game crashed. Now if you had it on automatic pitting it would not of crashed. Looking forward to seeing everyone at practice tonight, also don't forget we have this week off from racing G3. |

BTW: Nobody would ever laugh or poke fun at someone sharing there setups with guys. Heck I share my setups all the time with people, or give them tips on how to make there's better. I've even gotten beat by helping guys out, in past races. hehehe That's part of the fun in this game, people working together, discussing different setup techniques. That's how we learn to get better at our racing craft. Since we don't have a race this week, much needed break. I'll be uploading my setups from past races, guys fastest lap times from each race, and for other mods as well. I've just been so busy lately, there's just not enough hours in the day to do what I want.. |

I just need to update them. My buddy Cholerix and I have been running SpeedSims together for a number of years. He's slowed down a bit the last year or so due to real life stuff taken up more of his time. But, we do have a great staff of admins here at SpeedSims. I'm just the only one besides Cholerix who also updates the site. So between racing in several different series, open practices, modding, working and also wanting a life, things just take a little longer then normal. |

i don't know where ya'll find time, hehe, so again tnx if u ever need help with anything, don't be afraid to ask,, i'm still a lil rusty, but getting up to speed on all the new stuff fast I actually had my own heat site,, before i went into temporary retirement, hahaha ;D hmmmmm, we kinda getting off to the pheonix subj. how about a few tips or tutorial on how to drive the track for the rc drivers? |

I would suggest @ Phoenix to keep the car in 4th by not shifting and removing tape till the car has your desired temp. Personally I use zero tape at some oval tracks. The less tape the less your car changes during a tire cycle and the less that spoiler damage will effect your car.
