We will be using The Mod Squad's brand new Sear Point road course track for our next race on May 8th..
You can download the track here:
www.themodsquad.info/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=53
The gang from TMS has put a lot of hard work into the brand new Sears dual pit track.
Before you download the track, for drivers who race with the original Nascar Heat game and also have the original Sears Point track, please read the following information before downloading the new Sears track.
The brand new TMS Sears Point track is also name like the original Sears Point track that came with the original game. Like this Sears_Point.trk. Now the reason this was done was so that the brand new Sears Point track dual pits would work properly, renaming the brand new track using a different wording in the track would not allow the dual pits to work correctly.
The track needs to keep their original names if we want the pitting to work correctly, as intended. If it was renamed a different way it would will cause it to flip-flop the pit lanes.
Now before downloading the track, it's advised to do the following if you have the original Sears_Point.trk. This is quoted from one of the track editors Raybee1970 from TMS.
What I would do if it were me, and I was going to run online.... I'd first create that "tracks" folder in this path:
C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\Nascar Heat\tracks
Then I'd go into the Run folder and copy Bristol, Darlington, and Sears Point into this new "tracks" folder you've just made.
Then I would install both the offline version and online version we'll have of the new dual pit tracks.
This way you still have your originals in the "tracks" folder which you could copy and paste back into the Run folder at any time you need to switch out for a league..and you'd also still have a copy of the newly updated versions in your Platinum G3 folder as well, that you could copy back in when you need to.
Any questions or problems just post in this thread.
