They'd still be fairly fast and quick though... maybe not GT fast, but the weight there and them being light weight would give them certain advantages that something like a Viper or Corvette might not have.
It certainly wouldn't be like driving a bus or anything. ;D

shuckss!! I wanted them to be fast like GT cars or even the Enzos These cars known for their great handling around the track. This is not some bloated American "put as much horses in as possible so it goes fast in a straight line" car... These cars are made as light as possible. And that makes them quick around the track. Sorry mate, this is a racecar. Not a dragster cheers, Triz

yes guys I'm aware of the Lotus' lightweight and how great it handles and performs, but still that straightline speed makes the Lotus even more fun to drive. a Lotus that is slow on the straight is pretty boring lol

Last time I checked most circuits are not a straight line But I take it you love dragracing then Ofcourse its important that the car is fast. And the Exige is pretty fast. It doesn't need all that HP to make it go quick, like some american cars (because they are heavy as a tank). The Exige could easily outdo a bloated Mustang on the track. Thats if it's a real race track, not some 2.5 mile oval... Anyway this is all down to point of view and personal preference.. there is no right or wrong. For me it's about purity of the car. This Lotus is known for its very good handling... It's a sim, trying to recreate reality... So putting in a 600 HP engine just to make it go faster then it should go is plain wrong in my opinion. If you want HP.... make a Bugatti Veyron Mod. That has power, AWD... you name it. But this Lotus mod is not going to be an arcade car because of whatever reason. It should be fun the drive as is. cheers, Triz

My brother has a dragster, last time I checked he loved all types of cars.. Not all American cars are heavy as a tank.. Not true, between myself and my son we own two Mustangs a 1969 and a 2004 Cobra Mustang.. His 2004 Mustang would blow away the Exige. Even on a circuit track.

Triz it might do you good to read up on some of these "bloated heavy as a tank" American cars before ripping them for not being light . To be honest I think the new Boss & Shelby Mustangs could beat the Lotus at almost any track . I believe Craigmeister was thinking of this vehicle en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hennessey_Venom_GT

oh and this : That's Top Gear Triz... With the wrong Mustang in that video.. Try the new awesome Snake Mustang ;D. Plus remember to take a "street car Mustang", you have to turn it into a road racing car. Not just a "stock Mustang" ;D

I answered something similar to this on The Mod Squad the other day.. Basically on any given modding project, it comes down to what the modder wants to put in there car. It's there creation.. But most of the time they try to go as real life as possible for all cars. Starting with the real life info they find on the internet. If you wanna talk more about physics, we have a great tutorial here on the site that will explain it more in depth about heat physics engine..
