thanks ;D i tried to do it with the mod launcher, followed directions, but ended up creating a new track called,, AI_Texas_sp,, hahahaha, thats scarry hope it don't mess anything up, lol Huh? You don't actually have to create a new track file.... just the ghostlap. You go into the game, choose the track you want new AI at, then go into Test mode through the Garage so you are by yourself on the track...and run some good, clean, fast laps. When you are satisfied with your lap, exit the game and go into the mod's "ghostcar" folder. Then find the .gcf that it created for that track in there. It will probably be named like this: Texas_SP_simulation_best_ever.gcf You'll then copy that file out and put it in the mod's main folder (same place the drivers.txt, options.cfg and .car files are at) and rename the .gcf to simply look like this: Texas_SP.gcf That's it... now the AI will run your line around the track. You may have to do it a few times to get the exact line you want them to run, but that helps you practice too. No need to make a new .trk file, because that new track file you made won't be the one you are actually racing online. thanks for the info, from u and spike, that worked good,, but i didn't creat a new trk file, the mod launcher did, lol ;D

Here's a good tip. The more people who you practice online with at different tracks, you will always get the persons faster ever ghost car. Then, you can go and practice against there ghostcar offline, and learn there lines. Crash and I years ago, would email our gcf's back and forth to one another to have our own private competition. It was great FUN!! Man I miss that guy!

my attempts at making the ai better isn't working so well u think? hahaha, any body have a good gcf? hmm after a few failed attempts myself it appears the AI cars just don't like this oval ;D, they either drive too slow or fly into the walls on the turns.

Could be because the cars and mod are geared towards being raced at a different type of track. But they are fun to race on ovals. Try testing them at Untally. Try getting these cars to go even faster. LOL

Hey Cruisectrl,
Link should work again, my ISP did a update to my modem, which disabled the re-direct to the server. The common.res can be used to practise the race lengths offline, drop it in the mod folder and you have the exact lengths of the remaining races.
