Attention everybody,
We had an incident in our first race that we'd like to clarify to all drivers. Despite what is described on the rules, we found the text could have been misinterpreted, so we are going to explain the procedure here and also re-write the rules for a better understanding.
=========================
- First off, the pits are immediatly considered closed at the time the caution is called out. There's no need for the PC inform the pits are closed, despite it can as a reminder to all drivers.
- Pitting immediatly after the caution is naturally allowed to disabled or damaged cars that wouldn't be capable to complete a full lap until they get behind the pacecar. They can then pit and get fixed, but they must wait the whole field to pit before getting back on track at the end of the longest line. Otherwise, this car (involved in what caused the caution) would end in the first place after the pitting cycle. That's why it must wait/lose a lap. To get back to his due position (it's not a actually a penalty).
- Cars with no damage, who intentionally or inadvertently enter the pits while they are closed, are forced to follow the same procedure of damaged cars. Drivers not following this will receive an ontrack penalty or deduction of points as a penalty.
- The loss of the lap is to avoid the competitor takes advantage by getting a better track position or fuel mileage over the others that pit at the right time.
==========================
For the next races, everyone will be regarded as knowing the proper procedure and penalties will be applied accordingly if needed.
In case of any doubt, feel free to contact me by PM.
Thanks,
