As soon as cockpits and physics are done Problem is that I always try avoiding to start the making of cockpits. It's as much fun to me as... washing dishes "Pain in the ass" would be a correct description ;D So the question now rather is: what will I do next ? Start on the Lister or make cockpits for Porsche, Lotus and McLaren ? I'm yet undecided ;D

Looking MIGHTY good Karl, so really not a question of what u want to do but what u need to do to get them in game for us ;D, heheheh just kidding!!!
But sure would be nice to have the cars drivable.

I use the chase view so if u were to release a rough version for next year to be used without the cockpit it would be fine with me.

Yeah, I like using the cockpit view sometimes also, and I would rather be patient and wait until Karl's done with the modeling ,and testing of the physics on these bada$$ cars. Then get out there and tear up some tracks. BMX: Be patient grasshopper!!

Yeah, I like using the cockpit view sometimes also, ... IMO using cockpit views adds to the sim aspect in simracing - and not just a little bit I'm with Richie: cannot imagine running from anything else but cockpit view (though I have to admit that in WGTC Saleen I'm using F2 view as using cockpits there would be like driving with -15 dioptren, without lenses) No chance I'm releasing any car without proper cockpit or even sound.

Hehe I started racing in chase view back in 2003 with SCGT and now everything else from cockpit gives me the creeps.
On top of that, Karl's cockpits are even better than the LFS ones, so yeah, lets give the guy some time! ;D
btw Im up for some beta testing if needed, when physics start to be drivable. No need for fancy cockpits for that, though.

Well, here's a deal to speed up the making of the GT1 cars (and thus make release date come closer ) I could need some help in making the car engine sounds. As GroupC mod and GT2/3 cars prove, my skills at sound editing/engineering are pretty limited. I have all the required WAV files that will be needed for the GT1 cars, but if someone could take up the task of engineering some great sounds for the mod from these, this would be some awesome, really BIG help. All whats required is some hex editing knowledge (can be achieved within 30 minutes ), some sound editing software (comes with any PC sound card) and knowledge (can be achieved in 20 minutes ;D) , the source sound files - which I'd provide - and an idea how the cars SHOULD sound like. This can easily be found out by some research on the internet. There's quite a couple of videos at youtube or alike places. How to do NHeat sound engineering is described in detail in the modding tutorial - I'd have to read it myself again for starting on making sounds once more ;D If someone would volunteer to help on this, I'd be *very* happy. But please only volunteer if you really and seriously want to take up the task. It requires quite some amount of dedicated work and the results should at least meet the mod's quality standards (which are yet IMO not very high for sounds)

Ok... heres a parts.res that i did with a replaced VEC0.sfx sound (which is the main engine of the vectors sound) make a new folder for the mod copy all files dl this part.res and replace with other part.res make sure u make a new mod folde rofr this and a new dos window...then go ingame and select ector and listen to new engine and go listen to orignial 1. This will be 1 of the gt1 engine sounds in the future.PS: they will be much better when im done because this is the first time ive ever edited somehting in heat other than the drivers.txt. not sure what engine this is for cuz i just chose a random sound out of my list but it is 1 of the gt1 car sounds. MAKE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR OLD PARTS.RES OR MAKE A WHOLE NEW FOLDER FOR THIS NEW 1 (WITH AL OLD FILES THEN REPLACE THAT PARTS.RES)!! LINK: bmxtwins.webs.com/then go to scgts car file page and scroll all the way tot he bottom... i will have it up ASAP. THANKS, BMX!
