specs are about the same as on my PC - and I run NHeat with everything max out.
So I'd guess Dave may be right about graphics card, as onboard devices usually are way slower than standalone cards - especially as they like to share memory with CPU

Um I have had it about a year or so, well its actually my Mums one but I took over it for racing when this one threw its shit in the river.
512MB Ram DDR2 Intel Celeron M Processor 520 1.6GHz, 533MHz FSB, 1 MB L2 Cache
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
When putting "dxdiag" into run the display options say...
Device
Name: (same as the above name) Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip Type: Intel(R) GMA 950 DAC Type: Internal Approx total Memory: 64MB Current Display Mode: 1280 X 800 (32bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor
Drivers
Main Driver: igdumb32.dll Version: 7.14.0010.1187 (English) Date: 1/02/2007 WHQL Logo'd: Yes DDI Version: 9Ex
I wonder If I should increase my paging file, would that make much of a difference? If I were to change it what would I change it too?
Anyway here is the rest of my system specs in "dxdiag"
System Information
Operating system: Windows Vista Home Basic (6.0, Build 6000) System Manufacturer: Acer System Model: Aspire 4310 BIOS: Ver 1.00PARTTBL Processor: Intel Celeron M CPU 520 @ 1.60GHz, ~1.6GHz Memory: 502MB Page File: 1129MB used, 1388MB Available DirectX Version: DirectX 10

to the driver with laptop probs. your lt is similar to mine, but i have 2g ram. 512 ram is not nearly enuff to run xp os safely, it is totally insufficient for vista. at this point your best solution is to restore the registry to a date b4 all the trouble began. then i would call lt maker and get specs for ram upgrade.
