I still think it has something to do with the server as in every other server apart from the main Stockcar server it crashes in, so I still think it has something to do with the settings in the server, Unlikely IMO, as any config misconfiguration would make the game crash always, not just now and then The best way to find out would be to start on a minimum mod, then add features (= cars, drivers). And at each stage start/run several races in a row to check if it will crash. Once it starts crashing, you know that your latest addition has triggered it - and you can sum up what change it was. The fact it crashes only occasionally IMO is a sign for either some memory "leak" or such (Heat tries to use some memory space that's still in use) or the exceeding of some limit (number of cars, number of drivers, number of whatever)

I can run in single player fine even with COT mod full details everything fine as just takes a little longer to load the more I have. and the 2005V8SC mod loads for me in about 4 secs no time at all as Stockcar Heat usually takes about 40secs-1min.
And I run the details on lowest for stockcar heat to try get it to work, but it still crashes with the deatials on exactly the same then if I keep tryign without changing anything it will work again after a bit.

I don't read all the post here but I like to suggest fix:
Did turning off audio help? If it is maybe changing audio compatibility mode in options.cfg help.
Try disabling/remove your sound card, and check any running application with procexp or something.

Sorry I'm not much off a hardware person and all I do when I take the cover of my pc off is clean it out I don't remove anything in case I break it . By testing this could I just turn all sound onto nothing inside the heat options when game is running?. and or turn my speakers off? Thanx for another spark of hope Sucahyo ;D

Can you try this:
1. disable sound from game options
2. edit options.cf, and experiment with anything at [SOUND] section
3. disable sound driver, this would require to disable sound driver in control panel - administrative tools - computer management - device manager - change audio device properties to "do not use this device (disable)

That's bad, try different route, checking hardware: - add fan to your board biggest chip - check the temperature (touch) of your processors heatsink - change video card - If you have two memory and can use one, try using only one - go to PC bios, set memory related setting to slowest/normal/more stable option. - check that your power supply fan is running - look for any capasitor in board that look fat or leaking liquid. - check for virusses or any malware
- check that your cpu utilization is zero when there is no activity

Sorry man I'm still learning

Yes, you can check cpu utilization using Windows XP taskmanager. You can bring it up with ctrl-shift-escape. If you can, list the app running in processes tab. print screen is ok too. where can I get the mod you mention? also try using this patched patch, version 1.80: www.sendspace.com/file/z79dodreplace to existing patch.bin

Yes, you can check cpu utilization using Windows XP taskmanager. You can bring it up with ctrl-shift-escape. If you can, list the app running in processes tab. print screen is ok too. I done a screen shot here It was meant to have both the process's and the CPU usage in it but it seems to have chopped off the cpu. The CPU keep going up and down and all I had running was Internet (Firefox with this page) and the task manager itself, it even went up to 10% at some times then down to 0 kept going up and down. I'm not sure weather that is supose to happen . where can I get the mod you mention? From Kiwisimracing, about 150 people play the game and about 600 have it (maybe more that play offline). And I seem to be the only person that has these problems, And I had played the game for over a year before these problems have started to occur. It is quite an intense download and install process, getting every install in order (which I have done). I became aware of the problem around the time of when the latest update patch came out with the new realdrivers 07skins and updated teams skins. Note: Most of this has been said before but just re-saying so your in the know without reading for ages . www.kiwisimracing.net.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4025There ya go I have the Nascar essentials 1.80 patch and it says so when in MODs like Sports car GTS it says you have Nascar essentials patch 1.80, shall I still download and install your patch? And Thanx Man ;D

Thanks.
I have suspicion for some of the process. If you enable cpu time see any process run for minutes (Menu View - Select Columns).
Tea Timer - I think your cpu is fast enough, so if this task only display timer it shouldn't eat that much cpu resources.
On my pc opera browser eat 6% cpu time when idle. so 0% for firefox browser show how fast your cpu is. I would suspect any idle application with time more than 1% on your PC.
Try disabling Tea timer and see if cpu utilization still unstable.
Just browsing and found out that it can be Spybot-S&D process for monitoring spyware. If it is I think you MUST disable it when running heat.
Thanks about mods info, I will try that.
My patch is patched 1.80 version. It should allow you to run full 43 cars on any track, even at Nurburgring or lemans, at least that is what I hope, since only some people test it.

Yeah single player everything is fine, previosuly I have hosted (in Stockcar Heat) a 47 car race with 4 of my mates an 43 ai cars on a figure8 track.
When this problem started to occur I didn't have spybot but I got it in hope it will clean out my pc so I can run without problems. It cleaned it out a hell of a lot but didn't fix it. I will disable it before I race next though.
I use Enditall and end all programmes on that, it does what I thought was all programmes and processers, but in the pciture above you can see there is a lot more going on there.
