Well if this is a special case in which the above are allowed and disallowed then maybe there are special circumstances here. But i think i f we look at the rules you will find: ยง 09 - You should at all times try to keep two wheels on the track or curbing. You may use runoff areas and all parts of the track, but may not consistantly cut corners and chicanes. Which in general means that if any 2 wheels are on the track OR curbing u are ok, so in my opinion the THREE pictures above are all legal IF you follown the rules set forth in HMC2009 rules, one exception and that is if you do it every lap (consistantly) then u may be punished. I am reacting to the above because, I think we should have consistancy and if the rules say ONE thing and the ADMIN another, it should be brought up so we get a final clearification as to which rule applies in the particular race affected, the one made up by the admin due to safety or other considerations, or the general rules which were supplied by the onset of the HMC 2009 series. Chris would u please respond with your thoughts on this because now i think we need a final decision from you for clarification. Allowed acording to rule 9, unless u do it consistanly!!!! DISallowed according to rule 9SO IMO all we need to do is follow the rule quoted above and there shouldnd be ANY question whatsoever on its implementation. (added pics and last comment) Rob

Once we're at clariying this... Same problem at T1 and another turn. Easy to cut in there (though doesn't save much if any time).

Rule #9 is effective also on this track, but below is a additional extra rule.
I have to admit that I didn't think of this sooner because I didn't have time to practise this track in the past few weeks, if I noticed this any sooner I would have posted about it earlier.
As I see it: when you have 2 wheels on the right side of the curbing in this corner it's shortcutting. If it happens once or twice it won't be punished, but when doing it concistantly you'll be punished. Furthermore if someone might spin there trying to get into the pits and someone else comes rushing through the corner a incident will be unavoidable.
In the other corners that Karl mentioned the curbing is much higher and not advisable to shortcut there because you'll lose controll and might cause you to slam into the wall.
