Hi all after technicians once again tried to check my DSL line, finally it looks like the modem could be the problem. Seems it tends to shut off the LAN frequently for an instant - without obvious reason. On today's V8 race at Aussieheat the problem occured all the while; I wasn't even disconnected from the race at first, only all opponent cars were very often fading. Until I finally was shut off completely when the LAN was off for more than just that instant that Heat seems to be able to handle without big trouble Problem is, that it shows that I won't be able to host a race until I'm able to fix that problem = new modem next week. I won't even be able to join a race for longer than about 20 min (usual time to get disconnected entirely for me recently) So IMO though Chris had offered to host today's race, I'd rather like to postpone it until I got my problem definitly fixed So much of an egoist I am The Monza race will be put to the end of the series and run after Texas

No problem on the postponement Karl. Better to work out the connection problem first. It's much more enjoyable when you can also race with us without worrying if the connection drops.
;D Chris

it might also help to check out your network interface card as well.

RACE RESCHEDULE:
I'm gonna try but I may or may not be able to attend depends on the wife's schedule & the little guys nap times etc...I believe that Cholerix's ISP problems are fixed so I guess there should be no host problems.

testing times, low 1:38's so far. With some more lap time I think I can get back down to 1:32ish, at least that what my track notes tell me I've done in the past, but I don't think I'll have much time to test this week... yikes - i was looking at the setup page, are we really looking for lap times in the 1:30 range??

are we really looking for lap times in the 1:30 range?? No, I'm pretty sure we're not looking for 1:30s.... though a perfect lap on a perfect setup would end up there. 1:33s/1:34s are what's to be expected for running good speed; 1:32s would be great laps close to flying off somewhere and everything faster is just outstanding

so reading between the lines: 1:33 / 1:34 for the rest of us and 1:29's for a realy fast guy I know

Yes - but 1:30s for that very fast guy, no 1:29s (IMO 1:29s are out of range unless you shortcut )

Well, I do love a challenge... Did some laps tonight, with the added incentive of new wheel to set up. Managed half a dozen 1:29`s & one sublime 1:28.719. Cheers...

As everything was looking fine during week, I'd like to use speedsims.no-ip.org server
But would be nice to have yours as backup... just in case
