Some hints for Taruma practice: STAY OFF THE GREEN ! It's all damn slippery - and just the same goes for pitlane and the strip of xtra tarmac on the right side of start/finish straight. Stay off there or drive slow and cautiously, unless you're up for a spin These are no problems with the track - that is added to the track by full purpose to image the real life track's difficulties. That track is often suffering from sand being swept by wind over the tarmac. Makes every line except race line slippery... but so long as you stay true to that line, the track is a pleasant, fast and fluid drive Best so far I have managed is some low 1:04s, with still some place for improvement on the setup and the line

Only done 15 odd laps, pulled off a 1.02.something. I imagine 1s at best with a setup well tuned in.

outa the 4 taruma's which are we using? LOL The one schedule page links to That would be Taruma Day. Which is taruma.trk file, btw, thus pretty obvious. All other Taruma track versions have additional info in the file name

When I went across that finish line today, man. I got a tear rolling down my face. I couldn't believe how satisfying that win was. It didn't make me seal the championship. It was just so darn satisfying!!! ;D. It was an awesome race apart from a few close encounters with a few drivers and a muck up coming out of the last turn on lap 14 hitting the grass and sending me toward the wall only just managed to recover it to find out I was traveling down pit road >_< . Oscar. for someone I have never seen race before man you super consistent! well done on 2nd. Karl you 1 stop strategy had me worried there for a moment at the end of your first stint. That's always a worrying move knowing I've got to do twice as many pit stops. All up awesome event! That track really turned it on!!! ;D ;D I'm going to take this opportunity to thank the speedsims admin for such an awesome series. Special thanks to Cholerix for all the site work he does, paying for the site and server for our enjoyment ;D. The awesome post race reports that are always a pleasure to read even if you didn't compete. And of course that second to none way of handling protests and penalties. Cheers Karl Legend.

That was absolutely amazing, i dont think that we see those standards of driving from the best, and I am not just talking about harding (grats m8), I mean everyone, the racing was perfect, the back markers caused no hassle, for me anyway, and everyone drove so well. Harding, after that race, you have the right to cry with joy, your drive was amazing, just... inspiring mate, only problem is, with each event i turn up at, some other person has got the whole thing perfect, like Crash and Patch in the FR2K race at mexico, I am loving speedsims, LLM, and nascar heat. Any maybe, loving the fact that in just 2 races, one of which being my debut in nHeat, i have had a 3rd and a 2nd, I love this game and the people that play it. Excellent guys, loved it. Oscar. P.S: BMX, thank you so much for introducing me to nheat. P.S.S : thanks to the admins again for giving us an excellent race... and dare i say it, excellent track choice

im just glad we got more people into nheat as more leave it. ive seen almost as much leave it than join it realy :/ 4 or 5 leave...6 or 7 join. It's a revolving door. It's always been this way. Some people will migrate to the newest shiny toy (game) that comes out....but watch and take notice. The folks who've enjoyed Heat alot, will always come back eventually. The online racing part of Heat has seen larger crowds years ago...like in 2001 and 2002...but that was when Heat was at it's peak, with mods coming out left and right....always something new to play with. Now the mods are still coming, but it's the ones who have always enjoyed modding for Heat that do it. But....ARCA Sim Racing is not even 1 years old...and Heat has alot more folks who race online in it. We have alot more to offer. iRacing may have alot to offer too, but it has no AI...and costs an arm and a leg for each and every addon. rfactor is ok with lots of mods and tracks...but the AI is crap, and it's numbers have dwindled down alot too. Heat will outlast them all.

Number of drivers is affected by how many people get the feeling to want to participate. Sounds simple, but isn't, as the maintainer has to MAKE the auditory get the feeling to want to participate. And to stay If the maintainer/admins fails on this, the series will suffer from a loss of drivers Heat offers a good enough base to provide all you need. Some mods we run are from 2004 (!) and still provide good, sometimes even great show ups in the races. And the more recent mods are even quite an improvement in most aspects. It really comes down to what effort the maintainer puts into his league. And which way he does Apart from that, some new shiny additions always trigger additional attention, especially if these are well advertised ;D And even for such an ancient game engine as NHeat, recent tracks and mods have almost always provided (and will) some really up-to-date eye-candy

btw... just finished replay review
Harding did a hell of a job at Taruma, almost always using full width of the track without EVER touching the green. Precision like a swiss- made clockwork. Simply awesome !
Doing 17 laps each stint ended me up with 3 orange and one red tire... made even the tarmac feel damn slippery ;D
