hope not to much was damaged or fried Well after damage investigation my television was fried and at least the 2 network cards in my server. The network cards will be replaced tuesday and hopefully everything will be online again wednesday. Had to connect my modem directly with my laptop to get online. |

Bummer Humty!  At least lightning never strikes in the same place twice (touch wood!).  Kind of serendipitous for me though... I couldn't make it anyway, hadn't done a single lap of practice and got to bed late the night before - I was just visiting the site to apologise for my no-show!  |

Kind of serendipitous for me though... Have to admit... for me too. Since last Friday my DC problem has been worse then ever. Looks like the Telekom guys have made a change on something, and looks like it was the wrong change  Thus I most likely would have got DCs in both races |

Looks like I may have found a way to stabilize my DSL line  Thomson Speedtouch modems seem to be MUCH better on critical DSL lines than any others. And I have tested 5 brands on the last 3 months... Got one Speedtouch second hand from ebay and have just put it online: has decreased line attenuation instantly by about 6 dB - and no DCs on the last 4 hours so far. Got DCs almost every 20 minutes before on the last few days  Press thumbs that this may have been the solution to the problem |

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Network cards replaced and configured. Server is working like it used to be Television is a different story , going to have to save me some money to get a new one. |
