I know where the tutorial's at, and I bookmarked it (since, for some reason, there is no link to it on the main speedsims page), and please don't direct me to it again, as it doesn't tell me whether to turn these magic values up or down to get my desired effect.
a) Link is on top page, left menu under HowTo's, 2nd row, the link Modding Tutorial
b) It does perfectly tell you if to turn up or down the magic values for what effect. It even does tell you what range would make sense. It furthermore would tell you that additionally working on stiffness and friction parameters would be mandatory (both longitudinal and lateral) to get the desired effect
A lift value of -999999.... is most probably out of allowed range anyway, so Heat won't take it as -999999... but rather something like 0 or even as a positive value
If your car goes straight at braking, this can be caused by :
too much brakeforce on front tires, too little "weight transfer" to front at braking = too much front spring stiffness, or too high front bump/rear rebound, too low inertia values, too little grip on front tires, too much front tire stiffness... there's multiple possible reasons for this
Please say it doesn't take up a ridiculous amount of space on your C:\ Drive. You Heat racers must have pretty huge C drives, because I don't think you can install the mods to any other drive. Am I correct?
No, you're wrong.
There's another link on the HowTo menu on Speedsims main page (NHeat Basics) where's explained howto install mods to another drive
