Karl and I will be racing in a Series this coming January called LFS-Touring-Car-Championship (LTCC) a German Tribute to DTM. These are the awesome cars that Karl painted.

All wheel cars Usually it takes me quite while to get into figuring out the REAL pros and cons on a sim - and up to now I never really got deeper into LFS. Lack of tempting leagues This now sounds promising. Hope they'll be able to fulfill those promises ;D What I now REALLY like (and hated on on earlier versions) is the in-car sound. It's now damn close to the real thing. Especially the transission noise is brilliant. Kind of "having to get used to" is that you cannot push throttle and shift down at the same time anymore - as you cannot in a real life car. I noticed at online practicing that LFS still doesn't match NHeat's netcode by far. You can run 30+ cars online, but even on a 3 car field (with close-to-perfect ping) cars sometimes slightly jump - makes trading paint risky business You wonder that with Heat being around a couple of years already, nobody (neither iLFS, nor rF, GTR, etc pp) was yet able to figure some similar great netcode.

initial test race was a blast - for Dave ! He got some really great racing out of this Me.... well... There must be something wrong. Just dunno what My car seems to be the ONLY one that slows down after even looking at some of those obstacle wheel barriers. Other cars seem to be able to even drive thru these without getting any damage at all. They can even hit the curbs in a way that would my car topple over. Worse, my car lacks about 5km/h topspeed even on top conditions and it has a longer brakeway... I'd say it's the setup, but unless there's a setup option "no damage sustain" that I have missed.... I seem to miss something more basic here

Karl, we just need to hit the garage and do somemore testing..

Well Karl,
You weren't the only one that struggled!! In lap 1 there were 2 cars that spun in front of me and I totaly ruined my car trying to avoid them, limped back to the pits what probably dropped me 2 laps down.

The bad thing is, it seems pitting doesn't help on a damaged car It didn't for me anyway
Did I miss some pit option ? Would be great if the pit guys could do some repair in LFS.

Karl, If you hit F12 a menu pops up use the up and down arrow keys to select what you want to change or repair. Then once highlighted use the right and left arrow keys to change options of what you want to change. You can also have it automatically fix damage in the pitts by selecting yes under that menu.

Bummer is your only allowed two cars per team.. But were allowed to have a backup driver when someone can't make a race.. Or maybe we can field another two car SS team.

So far as admins stated, the grid is complete - so they'll not accept any additional sign-ins. But Dave's right about the additional replacement driver's seat for each team For our Speedsims Team, that seat is still available

Dave pm'd me the info - thanks, the times even work out just 1 problem - i can only race every 2nd week (when the wife is off to look after the kid) and that's her week to work - for the whole sched - sorry lads I'd be up for test sessions though and helping with prep work. Is there a TeamSpeak server on the SS server - or somewhere (I have one I can re-boot)
