Hey all, Have a little problem with a couple of guys at the site in regards to our LimeRock race this sunday. Seems they feel going over the yellow line in the pic i`ve put here, is illegal. I`ve never raced any series/mod where that was considered the case. Can`t seem to find any reliable LimeRock pics or info to find if the actual track has the same line even, and or if it`s deemed illegal to cross. Anyone know one way or the other? Thanks for any help. Crash...

Hey Crash, I dont think any pic of the real track would be of any help since it has gone under heavy revampings over the years. In cases like this I tend to think as anything that is not grass as part of the track, including the extended rumble strips - which seem to be what you're talking about (I cant see pics here at work, well, shouldnt). Paved runoff areas are a different matter and shouldnt be used to cut, like the one in Melbourne for example. Heck, been offline for months and still can remember every single corner of 90% of heat tracks lol, I think I'll go back to race with you guys when I get a connection back

heck, in that part of the county, they have to repave all the time because of the frost heaves which make the track very rough. the real track does not have a painted line but instead a pavement transistion (slight downslope all the way down to the Rail) and the rail is closer! i think use the extra pavement at your own risk (The Rail) and don't make anyone have to study to replays over and over. video.google.com/videosearch?q=lime+rock+park&sitesearch=#

This is simple. If it isn't allowed then the track loose his best corner. Allow it and don't worry,it is something like au Rouge at Francorchamps. You need big balls and a lot of luck because the wall is getting really close. The best driver will win the race here.

my 2c....
on new Hockenheim there's some alike area - and I've not seen even a single driver who had NOT crossed the line.
Like mentioned above already: if it's tarmac, it's track ;D
