Since there's some new guys in the series and since the series is run in a somewhat different mode than we usually do, I'd like to point out some important things
- the races will have STANDING STARTS - in case that doesn't work at all (on 3rd restart) , we'll switch to pace lap + single file start - race admin will review replay for who did cause restarts ! - incidents caused at start or first lap will be most severely penalized
- NO CHATTING in the race ! Ignoring that rule will be IMMEDIATLY penalized if noticed by race admin - means starting 2nd race back row - no matter why the driver deemed that chatting approbiate ! - pointing out need for restart is allowed at major pileups in lap 1 and wreckings at lining up for start
Start and first lap are the most dangerous parts of the race - thus is MANDATORY for everybody for have CAUTION as first rule in the back of the mind. No race is won at start or in lap 1 - but a lot of races have been lost that soon already. Nobody would care for drivers that wreck themselves - but wrecking other by simply lack of caution or recklessness will not be tolerated

One additional remark
Drivers that don't show sufficient car control in warm-up may be asked to leave.
Race admins check on drivers in warm- up sessions on last 30 mins before race. If race admins get the impression some is not in control of his car or lacks track knowledge, that driver may be asked to leave if race admins decide he may be too much of a hazard in the race
Drivers HAVE to show up for final warm-up. Exceptions may be made for well known drivers of unquestionable skill.
If some less well known driver only shows up in final warm up run, race admins will consider his performance in that warm up to make a decision on his stay or leave

At some of the recent races, and Jarama in particular, several drivers had set their cars to slide a lot. This has 2 effects - in turns and on sliding, the car doesn't run a clean line
- thus the sliding car never points where a chasing driver would expect it
- very often at turn exits the sliding car additionally sways left/right when its driver tries to save it by countersteering
- which makes it absolutely impossible to attack such a car at turn exits, even if the attacking car is way faster on accelerating. Any attacking driver could never be sure about the leading car's line and would always risk to collide
- worse, cars that are set for sliding would usually brake way later than other cars into turns, thus always be able to pass on turn entry, then block the road by using full trackwidth at sliding. That's called "dive-bombing"
- all of this is highly dangerous, as the long list of incidents proves
The Shelby Racing series is not about Rallye-style driving !! Any driver who has set his car to regularly slide into/out of turns will be rated as "not in control". So on ANY incident some loose-set sliding car is involved, it's driver will get the blame - no matter if he thinks he was in control or if he was the one who got kicked by someone else.
