Congrats Triz on your Race 1 win.. Karl was great racing you in race 1, had some fun trying to hold you off. I had a lot of damage to my car from earlier on in the race, and I couldn't hold you off for that much longer!! Congrats to everyone on a nice clean race!! Race 2 Had a great race, still can't believe I won by 10 seconds. Congrats to everyone on another enjoyable race!!

Guess I have to reconsider how to set gears on next race... I lost a lot of positions at all starts at GVE ... but then that put me right into the middle of the fighting each time ;D Was great fun in both races, though in R2 it would perhaps even have been more fun without my rather stupid and misplaced attack on both Triz and Spike at the same time in T1 that dropped me down to last position. VERY clean fighting around me And pretty close speed by all drivers which made for great opportunities to fight for positions up to last turn in both races. Great racing !

I watched the replays just for fun to see how much fighting was going on. It was a really good race.
R1 was actually most boring for me since i didnt have to fight that much. I kept BMX at a 2 - 3 sec gap. Although that wasnt easy since every little mistake would mean losing position. I could finally relax the last few laps when he made a mistake going into the tunnel which gave me a 10 sec gap to Ron. So I could cruise to the finish the last few laps.
R2 was a bit more hectic. I was very carefull the first few laps which resulted in people overtaking me. I have to work on defending my position more. Then I started trying to cut through the field again, which wasnt easy at all. I had changed my set to be more conservative on the tires which helped in the end, but then I met Karl on the track...
I kept trying to get past him, but it wasnt to be, he did a great job defending his position and line so in the end I just couldnt find a way. All in all a very enjoyable race and I am looking forward to the next!
cheers,
Triz

really great start in race 2 there Dave; and the only safe place to be too. The rest of us took turns mowing and bruising guardrails and dodging the results from others doing the first two actions. was intense. Think Urcdoh and Spike are just that little increment from being at the podium too. I think that will happen real soon. thanks for holding off Karl for a while in race one for a while in that race the mirror was full of two (painted like killer whales) predators.

yeah poor starts effected me too, i know how to fix that for next time, but my problem is, is I wear my tires too much than others. I'm trying to figure out how to get that to not happen so fast, its killed me in the later races.

Try keeping your outer and inner core tire temps within 10 degree's of one another.

It was very difficult to get past you. You defended your position to the death ehehe. then i almost got it right and spun myself half out. I took to much curbstone on the inside. Oh well, gotta work on my overtaking moves more, hoped you'd make a mistake under pressure.

Thanks Ron for the compliment. Yep your right Urcdoh and Spike will be hitting the podium real fast!! What is real awesome in this race everyone was about the same race pace, and it was really exciting watching the battles playing out on the replay!! Me holding off Karl. hehehe I think he was just waiting for the right moment to pass me. My car was running like a dump truck by that time of the race.. Anyhow, looking forward to some quality practice time next week for Jarama. Need to build a brand new setup for that track.. Have a great Thanksgiving, and I'll see you on the track after Turkey day.
