Just a few questions to pick your brains for. Lap Times: Out of interest Whats a good lap time for the GT2 cars? I hit a one off 1.42 and I think I could go faster but after that 43-46's when I got a clean lap but much to improve (hehe Crash knowing you your probably doing the same times in the GT3 as i am in the GT2 ). Wear factor: Now I read that wear factor is 2X and 3X for ovals however with recent discussions regarding possibly X3 so GT2's have to pit more often or pit during a 10-20 lap race where GT3's do not have to. Realism: I read it is Hardcore however on default SCGTS only lets me select Expert until I edit options.cfg. Race Length: I'm sure there is a something sticking right out in front of me but I cant find out how long the race/s will be so I can plan a sort of game plan in which to tackle the race. Sorry for the 20 questions Harding

greetings. looking forward to this seasons challenges. i had a great time in group c and learned a lot about the physics of the nh car. i'm still working on my car painting ability and i'm sure i'll get it soon, i'm looking now for the gt2/gt3 car temps. as my entry this season it will b a alex job[?] gt3 porsche. good luck all. dont complicate things b4 the op crash take it easy. a minor suggestion is to replace the nurburgring which we seem to race more than oft with spa.

a minor suggestion is to replace the nurburgring which we seem to race more than oft with spa. I LOVE Spa - but then this track seems to be far less popular in NHeat sim racing than it is in real life. Considering numbers of drivers that usually show up on this track. Actually Spa was in draft schedule layout, but then Mo I Rama was, too. And Zandvoort and Brno. Even Nordschleife was in at some time ;D These tracks all have one (minor) flaw and that is that even in GT2s the laptimes will be > 2min. Which is why I finally have put Nurburgring in.

J Lap Times: Out of interest Whats a good lap time for the GT2 cars? www.speedsims.net/SCGTS_schedule.html1:42 is a good time, at least considering what I was yet able to run for best 1.41 rather feels like neck-braking speed ;D Current laprecords are given here: www.speedsims.net/GTS_setups.html ... just noticed that this page isn't linked anywhere yet Wear factor: Now I read that wear factor is 2X and 3X for ovals however with recent discussions regarding possibly X3 so GT2's have to pit more often or pit during a 10-20 lap race where GT3's do not have to. Ah - you're referring to GroupC rules page... for GTS, please check here: www.speedsims.net/SCGTS_rules.htmlRealism: I read it is Hardcore however on default SCGTS only lets me select Expert until I edit options.cfg. Yes, you'll have to edit options.cfg www.speedsims.net/tutorials/NHeat_howto.htmlRace Length: I'm sure there is a something sticking right out in front of me but I cant find out how long the race/s will be so I can plan a sort of game plan in which to tackle the race. www.speedsims.net/SCGTS_schedule.html tells you about race lengths Generally race lengths was determined like this: GT2 car max way to go on 3x wear rate + 2 laps . GT3s will be able to run the race#1 without pitting; GT2s will have to go for fuel (tires will be ok). Race#2 simply is 2x race#1 lengths - which will make for interesting pit strategies esp on the GT2s

Cheers DK Have a welcome I'd suggest you'll post what ingame car paint you want to pick (first comes choices) unless you'll run a custom paint. This is some advice generally given for people chosing BMWs, Saleen or the Vector, as there's each only max 3 ingame car paints (ok, 4 BMW GT3... but then only 1 Vector)

Well I was feeling over the moon in Expert mode doing a 1.39 . Then starting to get use to hardcore mode (been racing about 6 hours all up with the guys 2 in hardcore) and getting into it although spinning was a common occurance. I wonder if the 'PREVIOUS' lap record (1.41:623)was set in a different set of pyhsics because this is what I got... And I was doing another lap when a fellow racer got in my way which I thought definitly had potential for a 1.40. P.S I'm sorry is I come over as vein if we are popping these laps out just slightly over lap record pace I just think something must be wrong because I don't think we are that good yet. Harding

Well, that laprecords are the result of about 10-20 laps being run on each track. In practicing conditions ! Typically people are going faster while racing - chasing/being chased. So all the current laprecords are to use for is some hint what laptimes to look for Always have in mind that we have run only the GT3s yet in some few online races. The GT2s are yet to see their first online race eh - btw - speed is but one side of racing Going fast and staying on the track all time is another, even more important aspect

I won`t be running in the series till Nurburgring(best recovery scenario) or Sugo(worst). But i`ll be doing some laps this week for a bit of fun & to provide some set-ups for the initial tracks on the schedule, for anyone wanting to try. Cheers...
