I've had every race sim type game you can mention up until a few years ago - starting with Bill Elliot's NASCAR challenge. Of all of them, HEAT was and still is my favourite - it has a balance between playability and sim that I like, is very moddable and just always stuck me as well balanced between look, play, and feel.
Until recently it was no longer running on my system but then, suddenly, its working fine again and I found the new GTS mod and am HEAT crazy as ever, all over again.
I made tons of stuff for HEAT, all the aussie mods like Konica V8, V8SC, Classic Aus Heat and the Bathurst 69 mod, plus had tons of stuff undone like classic sports cars, F5000 and historic touring cars that I never finished.
I was glad to see the HEAT gang although small, and somewhat reduced, is still going!
Great stuff, guys!

it has a balance between playability and sim that I like, EXACTLY the reason why I favor NHeat too

The XU1 was and or is, done. I thought I had released it.... maybe not. The A9X was 90% complete but never released, fortunately I have it saved somewhere. I have to go and download all my mods again from AUSHEAT to see whats in them, I lost ALL my game stuff like mods and tracks, at least have the work files saved for the cars I made... except maybe a few historic tourers like the Cortina, Escort etc... they might be on another CD cheers Rich good to hear fromyou

You're right... I don't know you. But that's okay, its good to know that there's still new people finding HEAT. That's the way it keeps going, look at SCGT its old but still going and being "found" by new players.
