The incident report for the Group C race is up. If you take a moment and look at it you will see SEVERAL warnings were handed out. Most of the incidents that had happened could of been prevented, with a little bit of patience, practice and track awareness. Our server is up 24 hours, 7 days a week, for anyone to come online to practice, plus we offer two different times during the week to where guys can show up and ask for help. Or get together with a buddy and take the time to do some practicing. Plus getting together for practicing CAN be fun, lots of fun times, and laughs happen during practices, so come and attend them and find out. Please take the opportunity to ask questions if there is something you are having a hard time with.. And also please come to the race prepared prior to race time with sufficient track knowledge and practice. It will help everyone to have a better racing experience. Also just a reminder, to help prevent getting a penalty if you spin someone out, if you stop and give the other driver back there position it goes a long way from NOT getting a penalty. If anyone is having trouble with setups or learning a race line, private message any of the admins for help, we will be glad to help you in anyway we can, so that EVERYONE can have an enjoyable race. Dave

I know that most of the things I am explaining here are known to almost everybody who ran online races, but I still would like to point out some things.
Even the most experienced driver can make mistakes, don’t think that because he ran races online for years that he can’t struggle at a track.
The ones who organizes series will also have a rules section for that series, and anyone who is about to enter that series should read those rules before joining the first race.
BUT!!! There are also some unwritten rules that normally are called “Gentleman behaviour” rules. Here are some examples of those rules.
# When you are in the pits getting serviced and the crew releases you, DO NOT pull away without checking your rear view mirror to see if someone else isn’t trying to get to his crew that could be in front of your pit stall. By pulling away from your pit stall blindly so to speak, you could hit a car that is trying to reach his crew to get serviced. Even if he already got serviced and is heading for the exit of the pit lane, do not pull away if he is very close which could cause a collision.
# When you accidentally run off track, do not try to get back on the tarmac as soon as you can, but look very carefully when re-entering and definitely do not pull up to the race line crossing the track from left to right or from right to left. When you go off track on the right side and the race line is on the left side, stay on the right side while you’re accelerating to race speed. If you go off track on the side where the race line is, stay on the grass until you reach a straight where there is enough space for the cars that are on race speed to overtake you safely.
# If you're sideways on the track and the race line is in front of you, you should put your car in reverse and slowly back up and steer your car so that you are in the right direction again. By doing this you clear the race line so that cars that might be fighting for position don’t accidentally crash into you.
# If you accidently hit someone and knock him off track (misjudging brake point or hitting curbs and losing control), do not proceed racing again while the other one still is trying to get back on the track. Wait till he has re-entered the track and is in front of you (giving back position).
# When racing close behind someone, never try to brake at the same brake points you are using when you’re running alone at that point of the track, the one in front of you could brake slightly earlier then you might do, what could cause an accident. An example: when I normally brake for a turn at 200 meters, I start braking for that same turn at 250 meters when I’m behind someone making sure we both can take the turn safely.
# If you’re planning to overtake someone make sure it can be done safely, when you’re 50 meters behind someone, I can assure you that your not going to make it, and that both cars will end up off track because you’ll probably will overshoot the turn.
Hopefully this article will help people, and will result in more fun and safe and clean racing with interesting battles during races.
Chris
p.s. this does not apply to a specific mod or sim but for all online racing!!!
