Here are some pics of the cockpit that I built. The wheel is a G-27 and the seat is a swivel bucket out of my old 1975 Monte Carlo. I had the ply wood kicking around and built the PVC frame in less than a day and for less than $45.00 Canadian. Attachments:

I was thinking long and hard recently about making a PVC cockpit. Tell me something. Is it easy to make?

Well it wasn't really hard just a little tricky the first time because you have nothing to go by. 1st I mounted the seat to the plywood then mounted that to the part of the PVC that holds the seat. At the front part of the base I used T's so I could extend it out toward the pedals and wheel. There is also a T at the back part of the base with a short piece that goes to an L wich is then extended up to the cross member that holds the wheel. this is also the piece that the shifter is mounted to. Then just kinda fill the rest in so it all joins up nice and square. Then mount the wheel after everything fits. I didn't glue anything till I was sure it was all gonna fit real good.
