is this it, prelude to the big exit for sports car racing of nascar heat? have the pay per online racing finally found the formula. 1st gpl being outdone by sportscar gt, then sc gt being out done by nascar heat, rfactor, & gt? now why should an outside entity come and disolve 7+ years of quiet, undisturbed tranquility. cause & effect: if guys stop showing up for races, as it has been happening quite frequently in the past 2 years, the communtity for sports cars suffer, how, less competition among drivers, less competitions at all, less creativity on tracks since there are no drivers for them, less creativity on cars, ect.
i state these things and add public appology because i once admitted that i would never drive certain tracks & in certain cars. mind u, i said these things only in the racing pit & not publicly. considering that in the league champion ship i showed my best form ever. thats just me. i really like my sports cars & would rather be known for my better drives in them them in another car. from that day on things changed, discussions became more verbal and guys started didsappearing over the slightest things. i'm asking you all to just keep racing. these arguements are less racing online amongst each other than it is cases of philosophy.
at the very least recording stats of the over all sum of the ss stats is wrong. if i intepret correctly multi mod championship is just and advertisment title. its comprised of how ever many championships it advertises. correct statting would note that, them display each championships stats of that multimod championship, with the final overall multimod stats.
again my main point is to coerce people back onto the track.
if i most that means patch, burnout, oldnslow, cholerix, and the new comers who i'm not regularly familiar with.
i hope this isnt a case of too many car types for under 20 or so people to manage. maybe we at speedsims should get back to roots and stick by it, simple NascarHeat based sports car racing. nothing else.

This isn't it, far from it. I may be working more, but when I know I can make a race, I do it. I'm on this forum everyday, still reading things. What sucks, is I have been getting some saturdays off, and now SS is off for the month! lol
I'm not giving up on anything, people become heated, and when they feel something they have put a lot of work into is threatened, they take it personal. No one wants drama, but sometimes it happens. Don't give up, I enjoy racing with you.
What's really sad, is I tried to push this idea, I didn't realize it would become such an issue.
However, I'm still gonna race when I can, I hope you do too.
I know when it comes to personal philosophies, I share a much different one than a lot of my fellow heat racers, but I wouldn't let it interfere with my racing.
I've had a lot of fun with you guys, It's been almost two years since I've been racing online. I've learned a lot had a lot of fun, but I still have a lot to learn.

I'm not entirely sure on what's this all about.... but, I dont see anything bad happening here that has direct relation with any on track events. We have had ups and downs in attendance for various reasons but... way more ups than downs, to be precise. Sometimes people have connection problems, schedule conflict problems, gaming gear problems, etc. We havent had any problems between drivers during the whole season. That's a fact! Maybe all that stats discussion have caused the wrong impression though. But that's all what it is..... a wrongful impression. .

We should all just keep driving, do what we love to do. So far in the series i took part there is respect and fun on the track. Also the fact that we all give and take here n there when another driver has a problem with his gear or whatever, we all try to help. Even if that means that the race doesnt start at exactly at the time it was supposed to start. People are being flexible and are being fair.
So I dont see why people would have to leave. I guess this discussion has been around in one form or the other. One stable factor stays and thats the fact we are here to race and have fun.
cheers,
Triz

is this it, prelude to the big exit for sports car racing of nascar heat? have the pay per online racing finally found the formula. 1st gpl being outdone by sportscar gt, then sc gt being out done by nascar heat, rfactor, & gt? now why should an outside entity come and disolve 7+ years of quiet, undisturbed tranquility. Hey Earl, Sometimes in a community there can be some hiccups that happen on the road, sometimes that road might have some bumps in the road, but most of the time that road is as smooth as a baby... The tranquility that you are talking about is still here man, and always will be. ;D That's what makes SpeedSims a great modding and racing site. We are a community that is international and always has been for the last 7 years, that has never changed... On the modding and track scene for road course/Sport Cars there is 3 mods and 1 RC track in different stages of development. We have just decided not to have WIP threads on it because people like to work at there own pace and enjoy there hobby of modding or track building without the stress of people asking the same old thing. "When will it be done" "What's the status of the mod" People have a passion for the game in different ways. As you know I helped Karl out with the gauges and doing some cockpit work on his GT1 cars, at the time he was stumped on a few things, so at the time I had told him when the SCP cars were in development I would give it a go and see if I could figure out his problems with digitachs, and also finish up his cockpits, do some LOD work on his cars. Now that has been done, and I sent the cars back to Karl a few months ago. Karl is like me and likes his privacy. Which I totally respect peoples privacy. He's slowly working on the GT1 cars and will release them when he's ready. The other two projects, which I kind of blurted out yesterday, Spike is working on a Mod also for RC, the particulars of it, he will tell people when he's good and ready. I've helped him a bit with the modeling, but it's something he wants to keep private. Spike use to mod the SCGTS game for several years, and now is learning how to mod for Nascar Heat. Chris also has a mod that is in the works, and likes to work on it at his own pace. So rest assured Sports car type of racing and modding is still there and going strong... ;D As you can tell I'm dabbling in a little bit of everything, with those guys and something for the community. Reason being I enjoy doing modding. Karl, Mauro and Ray passed that passion and enthusiasm on to me.. Which you have seen with the SCP mod.. So as you can see the tranquil is there for modding.. We all just don't have WIP threads, because we just don't want the outside pressure.. Now about racing, we have 4 guys Chris, Triz, Blaxman and myself and we all pitch in and work together to maintain series. We work as a team. Remember we are a modding and racing site, so we do a little bit of everything around here. Plus have fun with our hobby that is our number 1 priority, and to also have a friendly place to where people can come and race. In our two series NHPS and Multi mod series we have NOT had 1 drama with a driver. So that tranquility which you refer to is there my friend. Just like I said, once in a while bumps happen on the road, but you just brush yourself off, get up and keep going, with what you enjoy! Hope that clears up a few things for you Earl.
