i dont know if this should b in modding, but as there is great potential for this game/program i volunteer to try with track making. i know very little about anything behind the game. soif it is to happen i will need to b sthingy fed till i get the hang of things. really what i'm saying is one person alone can not do 2 things at one time[ maybe some can] so i offer to b the 3rd and 4th arms and legs and brain lobes. i will ask plenty of tedious questions be i'm to all this stuff. i may b willing to spend some $$$ on 3d/art programs within my budget which presently is very tite. so if anyone is willing to assist post the email i can reach u at here and we will take it from there. i hope this helps to produce a more intrigueing nh!

Hi - and welcome Dunno about trackmaking, but for modding cars there's tasks that can be split up easily. One making tires, other one getting on physics and such. And even that is often done reluctantly. Reason is, if you're up for modding, you want it done the best possible way and on YOUR schedule- and that's by doing it yourself for every modder Well, most times ;D For tracks, I'd suspect it's less easier to split up work. At least that would explain why almost all trackmakers work on their own. and not just in Heat. So my advice rather would be trying to convert some smaller track from N2K3 or F1C for a start and learning "on the job" Another problem would be that nobody would know what you're able to. 3D ? 2D art/textures ? track physics ? Any experience in any game with making tracks ? or mods at all ? So what task would you think you can take up in specific ? Have in mind that a modder wants to get things DONE, not neccessarily taking up an apprentice on the way. Which is why people usually start by putting some task on themselves, typically by trying to convert cars (or tracks) from other games. That way you learn about how to put items to Heat without having to mess around with 3D work or texturing at the same time This may sound discouraging, but that's not intended. It's rather making clear what you're up to face EVERY additional track maker would be hailed by the community for sure. And the trackmakers that are there will for sure answer every specific question you have.
