Dave's SCP mod might be winning the in New Mod of the Year category but this is truly hard to believe...
SpeedSims is in a 3-way tie for League of the Year?
triz is in 3rd place for Road & Street Driver of the Year?
and DaveO only has 3 votes for Driver of the Year?
That's right, right now it's true! But there still time to get out and vote today for your favorite drivers and league!

Dave's SCP mod might be winning the in New Mod of the Year category but this is truly hard to believe... ! I know, this is geared more to get guys to vote. But this subject about modding. I have to speak up about. Sorry Duster. This is just how I feel personally. That truly is hard to believe, because there are so many kick ass mods out there!! Everyone who has ever created a mod should be applauded for all the hard work they have done this year, and for all the other mods that have been created over the years. Mauro's, Ray's, Karl's, Bover's Scott's, Wes's and all the other guys over the last 12 years.. I wish this was not singled out.. Because everyone who has ever created a mod knows how much hard work goes into it, And I think every guy should be applauded for given up there free time for creating mods for all of us to enjoy. Just like track making. All the guys over years, who have created tracks, Smoke, Lucky, Oleg, Splashman, FFSbudman, Megahrtz, and countless others should also be applauded for what they have done to help keep Heat going!!

Your right, all the mods and tracks created since the game was released came with a lot of passion and effort and are all truly works of art! But someone has to win! lol Or they could all tie, who knows! Also just for clarification the "but this is truly hard to believe" was in reference the the following 3 lines, not the SCP thing prior. You (and everyone who helped you) created a really top-notch mod that broke some barriers.

I agree, Dave. I don't think we should be putting one modder ahead of another, nor a track maker or even the websites in this community. None of us are "competing" with each other to make mods, tracks or websites... or at least I hope not, as that creates division and hurt feelings. For the online racers and stuff like that though, that's fine... but for modding, track making and websites, I'd just as soon not see those categories come back for any future awards, since we all try and work together to make the community better and none of us tries to compete for the best mod or the best track or things like that.

Yeah... I see this way too. Maybe one alternative would be creating some kind of "Hall of Fame" then. That would be more appropriate, IMO. So the people who works (or worked in the past) for any HEAT related sutff that is not a competition could be honored and have some enduring recognition for their contribution. .

And you don't see that happening in any other sim racing community!!! ;D ;D ;D
