Well.. ::)i''m guilty on that too. I signed in for the last group c series but never run a race. Well there is a reason for it and i want to keep it private. That's also why i never signed in for for the fall honda races. But that's all solved now and i'm ready for some good races. I'm lookind forward for a group c,scgt and euhh a COT on roadcourses series. Now you guys are thinking that it is a paved oval mod but i think that they are good for the roadcourse too. Actually they could bring some nice action. Sadly i don't have the PC and internet connection to organise it on my own.Well if i could solve it i would do it but... . Also because i'm a truckdriver it is sometimes hard to join the races.Sunday at 22h,to do a race when i need to go to work the next day at 3h,i think you understand it. I need to be fresh the next day,or i play with other people there lifes. At 21h it would be better for me.I'm using the timeschedule in Belgium,Germany and Netherlands now. I'm looking forward to see you on the racetrack guys. And a happy new year to all. Hey guys, thought i would drop in and say hello. I've been reading all this stuff about heat the last few days. I've been racing over at NHRL going on my 4th season.. my other online nickname is DaveO. Anyways if you guys ever need a dedicated server or whatnot so you guys can race online, please don't ever hesitate to ask. My systems upload speed is over 2700.. I work in the computer field.. if you guys ever need a server to run on just holler and I will lend u mine!! Happy New Year!!

I have to admit that for the last Honda series there wasn't enough promotion to attrackt people for the races, but the one before that we posted in 2 forums that races were held and still the amount of drivers decreased.
I'm not here to start a discussion or argue about it but I'm just explaining what I noticed.
I also know that real life things go before joining a race and that people not always have the time for it.

Well Chris. A discussion about this is actually usefull. We can learn about it so that we have good races in the future. With more drivers. We need to find a way to get more people involved. So let this discussion start.

Hey everybody, I kind of fell into the clutches of schoolwork but I would really like to see the return of some saturday or sunday afternoon/evening races. I enjoy being able to use my keyboard to race in heat, something that is nearly impossible in the newer games. It's nice to see all of you guys back. Hopefully we can have a SCGTS or Group C reunion race soon!! PS: I have also been working on a real car: www.columbia.edu/cu/sae

I can tell you that heat is definately not dead. We're actually having a membership boom over at the NHRL. We have a good crop of young rookies, and still us old farts racin. People over there are in their 5th and 6th seasons. We threw together an offseason truck series, and we had 22 show up for martinsville, and 18 show up for a RC race at brands hatch. I'd say that's not dead.

heat's not dead still very alive, Its really the onyl sim I can race with the specs of my pc, but I still love it have fun and enjoy myself, Most of the racing I do is at www.kiwisimracing.net.nz in the Stockcar heat MOD in which we have about 110 people racing every week on our 24/7 server and another server also up 24/7 which is ran from our forum provider Inspire and forum administrator Inspector ( this is where me and RichieNZ race) and our servers are passworded during the week so we can have all our practice races and our Teams events and Individual events, but open to the public during the weekends, and I can say with confidence that the servers will see a good 200+ different people, and the server pretty much goes non-stop back to back races over our NZ tracks throughout the weekend, to spite Stockcars being like what i think is religion to most New Zealand people and a few Aussies that race with us, we get most of these numbers by advertising our MODs and Games at our main NZ Dirt racing website where everybody's expresses there views on matters which that Forum has about 2,000 members last check, so thats how we got so much interest into the game and how most people now racing found out about it, or from friends already playing, Maybe something for you guys to consider finding the people that do it in real life, or fans? And there is another thing. I will support any modmaker that want to create a new mod for heat. When there are tracks missing and you need one for you're mod, then let me know. At this moment i'm bussy with a track for the new COT mod. But i will help you too. Hey Trucky if your still interested in making a 400m banked dirt oval, which I believe may be a bit easier than a full circuit track, although detail is important ;D, that would be awesome, I have more than 100 pictures of pretty much everything and can take more, as its my local track if needed, I know what the track is made of, general info, the track lap record all the surroundings where they are etc etc, Are you interested? ;D

Well there are people thinking that heat will be dead soon. I don't believe that. If you see what Karl and Blaxman did with the latest mods. There are people saying that heat will die because af a lack of good tracks. Well let me say you this,HEAT will have new tracks next year and they will look awsome. Just keep that online racing going and i bring you new tracks. Heat dead, yeah right, only when i'm dead. I haven't been around in a LONG time, but happen to see this. "lack of good tracks", wow thats a surprise. Well, Q1 of the new year is over, can I have a URL for the "new awesome tracks"

I suck at writing and trying to quote peeps! But I will say Cholerix is doing an upstanding job of this site and at having a RC online series. I will always continue to race online with him anytime, and do what I can to help support this site. I just wish he would race with me sometimes on an Oval course. hehe ;D but that's cool. I'll race RC any day of the week also! Still enjoy to run heat online 5 years running now!!

It is a pity if lack of track became the problem. The process of converting track is relitively fast, but some obstacle do need a lot of time to fix. The biggest obstacle for me right now is pits. The rest of process is relatively faster compare to this.
From my experience converting homestead: Converting from NR2003 model to .mod file require 3 hours (work hour). Fixing hole takes 3 hours. Creating path take 1 hour. Convert/merge texture take 24 hours. Fixing glicth takes 12 hours. Pits still working........

Sorry for stiring things, I just happen to see the post that initiated this thread, was surprised by a one line statement in that, and I commented on that. As I mentioned, I have not been around in a long time, don't have the time like I made before to do Tracks, and had no clue as to the the state of anything with Heat or sim racing in general. I haven't been around at all since my last track release. As many of you know, I never participated much in the forums, pretty much quit racing when Lucky shut down his Leagues and then turned to track making, not enough time for both. As a few of you know, doing some tracks was a good outlet given some personal situations. Again, sorry for stirring things up, but on the upside I fired up Heat and ran a few laps. Then downloaded the GTS Mod and that is one fricking excellent piece of work Cholerix (and everyone involved), a real masterpiece, that is just awesome work!! No clue how you Mod guys could possibly do that kind of work, amazing Mod, thanks! So, wishing I had not posted to this thread, I will go back to personal things, but will be running some offline Heat when I can, and do some forum reading from time to time to be more current. Take care guys...Smoke

No news is good they say. Well i have news(this means bad). I was working on a new mod launcher with a race finder build in it.Everything went perfect(i thought),but when i started it together with heat it created a disaster.I lost everything i had on my HD and needed a full month to get my pc working again. It wasn't cheap eather to fix it since i needed some help from a PCguru.Luckely i had a backup of my HD and after scanning that backup with a virusscanner i got info that the progarm i was writing caused it(virus alert).I really don't know how i did it but i will never do it again.300Euro's are to much to pay.I think you guys understand that i won't put bad files on the net(there are enough of them).Anyway it looks like it that TADS is looking for a racefinder. About that track you requested,i would like to try it but at this point i can't get it in Heat and don't have enough time to spend on it,the real guru at this moment is Sucahyo but he is doing a lot of tracks lately. Looks like i had such a big mouth lately and created nothing At least i tried. Greetings trucky
