Pikes Peak International Hill Climb I have been looking around my hard disk and found something that I spent a lot of time on almost 4 years ago and ran into issues and never got back to. I normally do not release unfinished versions, but not sure I will ever get back to this one, so am thinking of making available, as is, rather than just sitting on my disk. Would be just an offline version for Heat. The track is functional until the mile marker #16-17 area and there are issues that prevent going to the top, but very drivable for over 9 miles up the hill to that point. There were a lot of issues left, and graphics/etc to clean up also, that I will not get to. I'll try to find some to time to see where I was and pull all the pieces together. I was born and raised just a few miles from here. I probably spent way too much time driving this one during the conversion to Heat, than addressing issues, but it was just too addicting. In the mean time, if you have never seen the Climb Dance video of Ari Vantanen's run up the hill, you should, believe me. This was a record breaking run at the 1988 annual Pikes Peak Hill Climb in a four wheel drive, four wheel steer Peugeot 405 T16. This is a 63MB download: texasspeedracing.com/smoke/PPIHC.zip

I seen the Vatanen vid and its one of the best clips ever in motor racing history. The driving alone is impressive enough to drop your jaw, but the surroundings, specially when the Sun comes around a corner, over the clouds, is just beautiful!!
If the track is remotely near that, I'll be more than happy, thanks SMOKE!!
