What kind of lap times, or average laptimes is everyone getting at Heartland Park?

Well I had some offline practise on oct 6th and got me some mid 1:24's. If I tweak my setup I'll prolly would be able to hit some 1:23's

Thanks for yr kind words dave( you no i dont deserve them!! )
My 1st few laps were full bora at eldora(all over the place looking for apex's, runoff areas, turnin points) then after i was happy with what i thort was my idea of the track. I did the slow in fast out theory( for me i can catch the oversteer on EXIT, better then having to button off to grab the understeer on ENTRY) and just made sure i had car pointing as strait as possable before gunning it.
Il be free tommorow for a test seshion to help with WGTC setups if we can get our times right.
Cheers Richie

Richie, just like in real life we all deserve a 2nd chance. From what I've read your one heck of a racer, wished you raced ovals too, we would be flying at 180 MPH. Tomorrow is a bad day for me to practice, but any other day your on hotshot!! Thanks for the tips at this track I'll give them a test spin. cya, Dave

What oval mods do you race mate? WE ( me, harding, driftking and senn) all race a short track dirt oval mod weekly on a NZ 24/7 server(KDSR.com/forums/heat).
Nascar ovals are awsume to race on IMHO and id be keen to join in some side by side 180+mp/h racing for 100+ laps

But were a little late. We just finished our Cup and NBS season.. I raced in the NBS Series 20 race season, finished 2nd in the points.. Right now it's the offseason and it dosen't startup again until Feb. of next year... We race just about everything, short tracks, SuperSpeedways, Intermediate Speedways (1 milers) .5 mile tracks, Road Courses. Right now I'm kinda starting a new adventure with a buddy of mine starting in January doing a different type of racing... Which I've been spending alot of time practicing for.

Got a question about oval racing to the pro:
The few times I was racing on an oval I was pressing down throttle pedal 100% for quite while... actually for a longer while than my legs would allow for without starting to tremble from exhaustion. Now I don't have any trouble with my legs. They're fine and well muscled. So no problem here - pushing down pedal 100% wthout release for 20 min is just too long for me
How do you guys stand this ?

Your way to funny!! ;D Okay 1st of all our races last about 45 minutes in length. I'm taking a guess here but if you were pressing down on your throttle at 100 percent for 20 minutes for the whole time you were actually plate tracking. Meaning you must have been racing at Daytona or Talladega. When you race at other types of ovals your not pressing down on your throttle at 100 percent the whole time, when entering the turns you ease up on the throttle sometimes having to tap on you brake during entry (depends on the track and your marks) then when you exiting the turns you tap the gas again and nail it.. It takes some getting use to, but with alot of practice you would get use to it. Karl, if ya ever wanna get on your server and run a few laps at some oval tracks for the fun of it, I'll show ya.

I AM NOT A PRO but.
my first race over at NHRL was cup at talldega. Believe it or not i used my left foot for the throttle when i wasnt around anybody. Jk. But actually when you race at a plate track your foot just seems to stay to the floor. I noticed that I was so into the racing that my foot just automatticaly floored it. Also, not all ovals/nascar tracks are all throttle. Martinsville is braking. California, las Vegas, New Hampshire, and others have lifting in the turns.

Very good Bmx!! Actually at Tally or Daytona when your in a draft with a bunch of cars when your not the lead car your actually feathering your pedal alot, and the lead car is one who has there pedal nailed to the floor.

ive seen your racing computer pics its very impressive. I do not sit down with my feet going straight out when i race because im in a regular chair and its easy just to rest your foot there and let it go 100% throttle unlike when your laying down sorta you could get tired... thats my reasoning for not getting tired in the middle of a hour or so race

1:21s... ... you guys sure running the same track and mod as me ? Looks like I'm yet WAY off speed... No better than occasional 1:26s and even these with only being offtrack at times. I have no clue how to get a reasonable setup ... frustrating
