;D After the Daytona success I think a TALADEGA Expierience is a must lol ;D
As a special event Taladega should be great for everyone and give the oppertunity to those who couldnt make it to the Daytona event an oppertunity to share, and enjoy this amazing type of racing.
Anyway the scoop is as follows:
What.........Taladega Experience When------Januari 24th 2009 Time .........10 pm euro and 4pm eastern How ------- WGTC mod, WEAR FACTOR....... 2x,.......
IF u vote for a 2 heat race, u will have to qualify for each heat seperately,
In race 2 NO INVERTED START IN RACE 2
Comments in this thread please.
Rob Added wear factor and Qualifying info and lap POLE on januari 5th 2009

In all my years of racing, I've never seen a race at Daytona or at Talladega being 150 laps..... Maybe I'm just getting old.. who knows. LOL But dosen't 150 laps seem a bit much for this type of a race?? Not to sure that many laps would really be that enjoyable to race.. IMHO

LOL....150 laps at Talladega?
Hello 3 hour race....ha ha ha
The real races in NASCAR at Talladega are only 188 laps.
You guys better keep an eye out for folks falling asleep during the race too. Those folks might cause a "big one". ;D

75 laps total is what nhrl runs at all supers... is around an hour. Either 75 1 heat or 75 total.

75 laps total is what nhrl runs at all supers... is around an hour. Either 75 1 heat or 75 total. Your facts are 100 percent incorrect! For years the number of laps was 50 laps, at SuperSpeedWays! (Meaning Daytona & Talladega) Last season meaning (2008) they up'ed the amount of laps to 55!! Every year when a new season begins they also change the wear rate from 3X or 4X. BMX please don't offer information about stuff you don't know anything about! TIA

As of today looks like 100 laps single race will be what we are going toi be running. In that situation 82 minutes is the total time for the race, which turns out to be 1 hour 22 minutes total race time.

1h 22min turning left ? I remember people got exhausted from running 50min road races and some were saying such races sometimes had become boring even though when nobody ran close anymore... Which way would you want to prevent this to happen in an oval race where you don't even have the entertainment of having to focus on next brakepoint every few seconds ? Sure, that would be another matter if you would get 35+ drivers in... though even then you'd still get problems with the muscles you need to press down throttle ;D

Well Said!! Karl..
Why not put up a pole with a few more race lengths for people to choose from?
