Well that was some intence racing ;D
Race 1 After taking pole with a 1:00.591 I had some awesome battle's with Patch for 1st place. Halfway throughout the race my tires were not that good anymore and I started making small errors. Patch who obviously still had some better tires took his chance when I drove wide again and overtook me. The rest of the field was too far behind that I could easily manage to hold that place.
Race 2 I was very suprised that again I took pole with a car that had a extra 75 kilogram weight. At the start Sennheiser managed to take first position and the couple of laps that followed I was able to keep on his back, but with the extra weight he started to increase the gap. At that point Patch and Cholerix closed the gap with me and that supplied some close and intense battling and changing positions. Cholerix pitted at the end of lap 15 and this was to his advantage, Patch and me pitted 1 lap later and while we were exiting the pits Cholerix came rushing by, taking second place at that point. Sennheiser who was on a 2 stop strategy only had 25 sec lead and when he took his second stop he dropped back to 4th or 5th. Patch and me still battling for the 2nd place kept that battle going to the end of the race. Sennheiser was completely focussed and started to close the gap and if the race was 1 lap longer he surely would have overtook Patch and me. Sadly due to 2 or 3 penalty's too much I dropped to 4th place in the results, even tho I crossed the line as 2nd.
Congrats to all for a exiting race.

Messed up early in race 1 in T1 and dropped behind Mustang, who gave a good battle for a couple of laps. Then closed in to Senn and Bmx, who where fighting each other since quite a while. With 3 laps still to go, fuel warning flashed and so I went for pits for a "Splash'n Go" . Still came out behind Bmx, who was running same strategy. Came close again but never close enough , so ended up 5th 2nd race was way better ;D Though I lost several seconds in first lap and it almost took me about 10 laps to close up on Patch and Chris. Could even pass both due to better accelerating, but messed up follow-up lap and found myself back behind those 2 again. Pitted in lap 15 as I didn't dare running full 50% on same fuel load - and came out 2 laps ahead on Patch , trying to increase the gap to get away as much as needed for a "Splash'n Go" at the end of the race. Didn't work at all; I only could work out a 5 sec gap, no more. So with race end coming closer, I decided to go full risk and without another pitstop. Expecting to get a stuttering engine in last lap - it was just the question when exactly I would out of fuel and I was hopng only on last straight. Big surprise - had enough fuel up to finishing line ;D

Sorry I couldn't make it guys. Thursday morning I got a call from the hospital saying i needed to go in they where going to operate on my knee because my knee cap was actually split in half from the real racing incident now two Sundays ago. I was still dedicated on racing and was told the ward I was going into had internet but weird enough the only room in the ward that didn't have internet was the room I got put into so no racing for me . This is the X-rays post operation and also a picture I got my sister to take as the dressing was being changed yesterday morning. Two screws are in there for life. 17staples coming out in 9days (14days after operation). Imagine being in a purpose built race car that your to big for. Head basically touching the roof and legs closer to the firewall than usual (15-20cm away from the bolt I hit my knee on). Now picture going into the corner on a banked (15-20degrees) dirt oval at top pace the car sits out slightly (drifting as you call it) then the back starts coming around a bit more at mid corner. To stop from spinning I found myself on full lock right. Now remembering the track was bone dry getting a lot of drive out of the track down low I was at mid track and started to get lower toward corner exit. The right rear bobbled into a rut sending the car into a more straight position (wheels still turned right). The left rear sat onto the drivey track down low and still with my foot on the gas for that split second that I hesitated then I was facing straight at the wall with about 10m going at 110-120kmph (about 60mph I think) to make an action. 5m out the the wall the track flattens out so when I hooked the brake I had all 4wheels off the ground. It did nothing. Wheels where around hard lock left as soon as I was pointing toward the wall but going that fast no return. As for the car nup it didn't roll just got about 4inchs shorter. Motor and gearbox went thru the radiator rear springs popped out and diff kept moving forward into the front of the wheel guard outrigger, then the tires popped. Where the car ended up resting was about 5m away from the wall and about 5m down track from where I made contact with the wall too. And BMX I had 3-layers of stitches ova the initial whole in my knee from the bolt too 16 in total .

looks like something like illegal suspension modifications to me. think about doing something else for fun than getting sliced, diced and stapled. hope your recovery is swift and not too painful. course some of the punk kids think those staples look real neat.
