I think I shall have to put my hand up for this one...ingame #66 for me. Always enjoyed running this monster on GT4 on PS2, survival will simply be the name of the game here, then we can talk about speed... Does anybody have any possible base setups they could send over to give me something to work on please? good question does anyone. i may just go with a stable set for here theres to many turns lol

The GT2 Nurburgring setups on setup page do really great Especially since the Qualifying for Nordschleife will be run on the Nurburgring track anyway

Just been out for the first few laps...my my. The track feels and looks totally different to the GT4 version, and its a mission simply getting round the track without stuffing it into the armco - I literally crawled around on my out lap, before stuffing it in the wall halfway round the first flying lap. Looks like speed wont be my goal for this race, simply surviving and keeping the error count low will be good enough for me on my return to online simracing. The narrow track and elevation changes make this track trecherous to run single file on, let alone side-by-side. I have a feeling this saturday nights gonna be a long night... haha! EDIT: Just been out again, ran a little 3 lap stint, my best was 9:03 on lap 2 before stuffing it for good on lap 3, and that 9:03 lap was with 2 spins and a flip or two as well...immensely frustrating. This track is the kind which punishes you for tiny tiny mistakes, as I found out when I was skidding along upside down a couple of times just now I also found something interesting - the track appears to reward you for high risk driving. On that second lap, I stopped dallying around and got a good run going through the first 1/3 or so of the circuit, and I appeared to really be making headway until a spin broke my rythmn, but am I right in saying that if you throw caution to the wind a little with this track, it can reward you with pace? Also, does anybody have a replay of them doing some fast practice laps solo? If they could send me it across so I could watch it and get an idea of corner speeds and lines and so on, it would be a MASSIVE help, thanks! EDIT 2: PB now down to an 8:36, thats still with a couple of spins and offs at certain parts of the track, I'm improving bit by bit... EDIT 3: Sorry for the continuous edits! Just to say I want to change my car to #27, I'm painting my own car as we speak...I'll have it done by the end of tomorrow at the latest.

am I right in saying that if you throw caution to the wind a little with this track, it can reward you with pace? Yes. If you do it at the right places. If you do it on the wrong ones, yu'll be rewarded with smashed suspensions ;D

As I've found out, Cholerix! Ah well...my simple aim for this weekend, with minimum practice on either the circuit itself or the qualifying track, is simply survival, if I can finish the race, then I'll be happy - I have no loftier ambitions than that

My guesstimate would be a good clean fast lap somewhere from 7:00-7:30. That would be a VERY good lap. And rather > 7:30 even then I guess the average fast clean lap will be somewhere in the 8:00s Everything faster requires darn good memorizing of critical turns
