How fast did Burnout manage to lap this joint then? I already have tremendous respect for you, but if you've managed to well and truely tame this beast then it will be boundless and 7:30 and faster?! Forget it for me! My fastest so far is an 8:36, and that was with a few spins. My simple goal will be survival, as I've already said, and if I can run a perfect lap with no spins, I reckon I could manage to shave another 10-15 seconds off that time. But that's slightly optimistic. As I've already stated, survival is my aim - if I make it to the chequered flag intact, I'll be happy Any idea on pit windows/pit strategy on this place?

Burnout once did a 6:32 in GroupC car.
So far I was only able to get a couple of 7:58s in GT2, and that didn't feel like much room for impovement. Some only. Makes me guess laptimes below 7:45 are very unlikely.
you can go 2 laps on perfect tires. Tire state will turn to yellow in 3rd lap. So unless you have to pit for need of repair, there's only one mandatory pitstop either in 2nd or 3rd lap

6:32?!?!?!?!? That is incredible, I salute you Burnout. Yeah, I figured it would be around 3 laps, seeing as I checked my tyres on lap 3 the other day of a practice session, they were yellowing a little, but I crashed soon after so I didnt get a chance to find out if they'd last the 3 laps Yeah, just below 8 minutes sounds possible, but with the amount of practice I've had, I'm happy with my mid-8 minute laps

Sadly looks like I'm gonna have to pull out too - as well as the fact that I've not had much time to practice, and I would likely just be making up the numbers/being lapped, my back is giving me trouble, meaning that an hour or so in the seat doing the race would do it no favours, its really hurting right now when Im in the seat, so I might give this one a miss until my back clears up, and return better prepared for the Group C series when that kicks off...in the meantime, have a great race everybody tonight!

Fantastic race! After screwing up Q at the nurb, I started eight, being incredibly cautious since a small dent was gonna be with me for at least 16 minutes. That was the plan, on green lights patch, who was right in front of me, must been caught off guard and could pass him right away, then someone spun and before the first 1/3 of the first lap I was in 5th with top 4 already quite some seconds ahead. Then it was a party of spins, pits, and surprisingly close fights, I know I scrapped metal quite a few times with Cholerix, Chris and Ron, that was quite an enjoyable ride! I made too many mistakes in the form of curb-riding + spin. No guardrail hits at all, but many seconds lost due to low speed spins, which in the end put me 4th behind Karl in 3rd, and the top 2, Harding and Crash, congrats!! I really want to see the replay where Harding did a 7.40, that must been a scary lap!!

Great report Karl!
Though I was pretty sure the lap when Chris, you and me were nose to tail at the Karoussel would be worthy pic material ;D

Scary lap? Scary race!!! . There's something inside me that loves being within an inch of certain death and I still have my foot hard to the floor! ;D. Ina ll truth my fastest laptime before Saturday night (racing is Sunday morning for me) was only high 55s. But with the aid of the suspension, camber and tire pressures from the setup Dave kindly uploaded (can this guy make a setup or what!!!) I started punching out 3 or 4 low 40s. The one I pulled out in the race could still be improved on I think, but that would involve many more laps practice to learn the track. I also beleive once you know every corner of this track you could put a lower final gear on and wack the rear spoiler right down and be doing near 200MPH along the long straight, chewing seconds off the lap time. Add in all the high speed straights and corners and I think a sub 7.30time is possible. I wish I had the time to commit to such practice. Great report Karl, I wasn't aware there was such an awesome fight behind me apart from the constant changing of positions between yourself and Crash, that looked like fun from my look at the leaderboard. I thought I may have lost it for a moment straight after my pit stop on lap 3|4 when I came out of the pits on fresh tires and stacked it straight into the wall of the first turn. Luckily the damage wasn't that bad. Bad enough for Crash to tear about 15 seconds out of me during the lap. Coming along the straight I had a lot of time to think if I should pit of carry on with a car that is sure to get worse considering the RF was already Yellow half way through the lap. I took the gamble and pitted popping out with 15seconds to spare. Taking it easy through the rest of the lap I was lucky enough to secure a white flag with black bits on it . Awesome drive Crash, if you had qualified toward the front of the pack it would have been a completely different story. And an entertaining race for sure! On a final note this finished off a awesome week for me Winning the Bristol round at the International Logitech Midget series In doing so being the equal biggest mover coming from 7th to 1st in the 25lap feature of 18cars. And also winning the Top of the South Superstock Champs at Nelson fighting out a 27strong field. Coming back onto heat racing the best mod on heat around the most challenging track has got to be the most satisfying! Thanks guys ;D So when the next race at Nords? Tomorrow? ;D Group C!? ;D
