well children it was day many people do not forget for its sadness. but for me it holds a different significance. u see back in 2001 9-11 was a tuesday and the sunday preceding it would b 9-9. it so happens that on this sunday there was an online race that was part of a scgt gt3 championship. it was sponsored by then leading yahoo club, the formula one club. none the less in the gt3 class only two drivers showed up, myself and another driving a bmw. the track was chatham, a oval track on one end and on the other was a chicane. well when the race started we were neck and neck till the end of the 1st lap where the chicane is. the bmw spun out on the chicane and was damaged, most likely needing a pit. i went on to continue the race flawlessly to take my first of about 2 or 3 scgt online victories that day. this win was my 1st ever online win in a champion series its something i will never forget. and of course within 2 days the world came crashing in. so there thats the significance of 9-11 to me.

I live 90 minutes outside of New York City. I lost a few close friends that day. But they will always be remembered, and there memories live on thru the rest of us.

:-[Thanks for sharing that . That day will forever live in OUR minds and broken hearts . Was getting ready for work when my wife screamed OH my God . Watched the second plane flash into fireball, we all new what was going on . hoping the rest could escape .
I cant believe my eyes have seen 3,000 people die in 1 day .
I also know that it has happened before 12/7/41 Pearl Harbor was attacked by planes .
Cant belive it happened is all we could say .
