Well after doing some laps my best thought is that someone should hire a contractor to remove the bump in the track when entering the s/f straight ;D. This bump caused me to spin out a lot. Best lap atm is a mid 32, schedule page says est. laptimes are <31, I think that might be a bit to optimistic or it is set by a "alien" Next point is to ask about re-entering the track after a pitstop, do we do this after T1? Chris

I agree with Chris, we did some laps after Birmingham and found that there is a small mountain right before going to s/f. No place to overtake there then. Did a 32.250 or something so far. 2 weeks to go for this one cheers, Triz

I will start a setup today and hopefully find my way into the 31s if not the 30s Oscar.

Is the bump at the start of the S/F straight after last turn exit, or at the S/F area, or both? I can take a look if there are more specifics.

Imho that bump is the cream on top of that track. I'd vote for more bumps in tracks ;D
So pls no "correction"

The "bump" is the transition from the lower road course onto the oval course level and runs across the track just before the pits. Imho if you just make sure you are running straight across it; it present very little problem. 750 bhp race cars find ways to cause such problems.

Is the bump at the start of the S/F straight after last turn exit Yes the bump is after the last turn when you enter S/F straight. It's located in the middle of the track, if you make sure that your on the left or right side of the track you don't have to worry about losing the car (if you don't hit the curbs or sand ) Knowing that now this bump could make the race more interesting because you have to stay focussed throughout the complete race so like Karl said leave it there and this would be a fun race. I vote for leaving the bump there also. There are plenty of places to overtake on this track!!
Thanks Smoke for caring to make a suggestion of fixing it.. That in itself means alot. Much appreciated!

ok, leave as is. Adding "bumps" is sometimes easier than finding "holes", but the bumps can become "holes" if not careful. Imho that bump is the cream on top of that track. I'd vote for more bumps in tracks ;D So pls no "correction" Karl...will do this more on any future ones. A "pre repaving" Chatham for the Shelby Mod. ;D

Since Chatham is an old time favorite SCGT track, and the first time we will be racing Smoke's new track in heat. I thought it would be cool to do a brief race report after the race. I would LOVE to get some "drivers interviews" of there racing experience of the actual race and also there thoughts on the track. So if anyone is interested in having there "driver perspective/interview" added to the race report, please PM me your information after the race. This will be posted on the main page of the site, a couple days after the race. Hope a few of you guys will be interested in participating on this idea. cya's on the track Saturday!
