Would like to mention that at Sonoma_IRL there are pits on the left side and also on the right hand side of the track. The first ten positions the pit stalls are located on the right hand side of the track. Position 11th and on are located on the left hand side of the track.

Is this tested with more then 10 drivers?
I know there was a lot of confusion with the original Infineon/Sears Point track that people didn't know which side they had to take.
Furthermore the left hand side pit lane is a lot longer then the right hand side, has this been compensated in any way?

Chris Hey Chris, the game itself equalizes the time spent on the different lanes by applying what is called 'lane penalty' for the cars pittting on the right lane. After the pit service is done, you can see a small time counter on your screen right before you're set free to leave the pits. The only thing that needs to be compensate is the drive thru penalties some drivers must pay in this race. In this case they wll be instructed to use the left lane for the penalties. .

Hey guys, I know it may not make much difference, but here is a little useless info. (Kind of on the same topic) When an original or addon Heat track with dual pits is renamed, for whatever reason, the game then "reverses" the pit roads...making the main pits the secondary ones, and the second set of pits becomes the main one. Tracks that would be affected by this when renamed are the following: Bristol Darlington New_River (addon short track by Splashman) Sears_Point There may be another one or two I'm forgetting (does Rockingham use 2 pits?).... Anyway... I don't know what makes the game reverse that stuff, since you would think the game would read the files in the packed up track, instead of the way the track got named.... but for whatever reason, it does this. It makes pits at a track like Bristol become confusing, because you would be used to pitting on the frontstretch pits if you used the original track, but if you used Bristol03, Bristol_Asphalt, Bristol_NX or Bristol_SP or variations like that, you'd then be pitting on the backstretch. This is just one of the small inconveniences in trying to update an original or addon track with any types of dual pit roads. I have no idea how we could go about fixing that either.... but I'm sure if anyone has any suggestions, both Blaxman and I would be willing to hear them... to provide any fixes for the future tracks.

We had another great practice today, seeing a good crowd showing up for practices all week, with some lap times hitting mid 54's.
Something to point out: When exiting from the left hand side or the right hand side please be very cautions of cars. If your not cautious it will increase the chances of incidents on exiting pits - incoming cars have little space to evade pit exiting cars.

alright, i did a full race with AI, and I just parked it, and watched the 11th place car, he did pit on the LEFT SIDE, so I believe now, whoever qualifies 11th on back (if we have that many) should be pitting on the left side. 1-10 right side with lane penalty, 11+ pits on left side, and it should be known, for those who are 11th on back, you WILL NOT be pitting where your pit box is. The pit box for the first place qualifier will be there. So you just have to be careful. Look for your guys, is the best advise I can give you.

Welcome to my world of testing! We both had the same results.
