It is something different, and I think once you run some laps on it, you'll dislike it, less, and less. I called this track a slog, I still think it is, but it is a lot more fun than when i first tried it, I'm running A lap, making adjustments, another lap, doing more adjustments. I think by the end, I should be ready. It will be interesting, will it be CART Surfers 2002? Probably not, will it be different than any other race this season? Yes, I'm sure it will be, by far.

water doesnt make it feel like your driving on real grippy grass though ... water also doesnt make the track bumpy (pools maybe where you splash through) i also know the mod makers do there best i just think usign a dry track would be more ideal. i cant even break 145 mph without going sideways off a bump and rolling my car onto the roof after bouncing off the bumps...

I don't think the base setup for this track is going to be the best option, I do use as a reference, but I'm not doing that. But perhaps, because it is bumpy, I'd try your chatham setup, and see if that helps. If not, keep trying, but here's the real question, has anyone driven in rainy conditions at these speeds? It might be different. It is asking a lot of these cars that can easily go 230 in the best indy conditions, to suddenly go much, much slower. Seeing that the track is flat, it could have puddles, and be bumpy.
I'm not going to give up on this one. I'm actually quite happy with where things are going now.

I'm going to try my trophy truck set and see if that works ;D
The reason for bumps is because the track is mapped as grass I believe

My first lap on this track was 2:24 with no setup changes and a bunch of spins, after one major change and a few minor ones I'm down to 1:55 and that's with about 30 laps of practice and not breaking 145mph. Not sure if I'll do the race though, but seeing Boris win sunday sure got me intrigued.

well, let me stick in another 2 cents worth of opinion in. the track makers and mod makers can only do so much; and really driving 160 on streets in the rain is not easy. Try and experiment, with setups, see if there are only certain places on the track that cause problems and do different setups or ways of driving over those areas help or hurt? I will criticize the track makers in one area, painted areas of track especially curbs, have absolutely no grip about like wet grass and sheet ice. That was not taken into the consideration; but, the track makers may never have driven on a wet track. considering this in Nascar Heat lets say thank you for your efforts. Race on. p.s. send money for old racer setup tricks in the wet.

I have no doubt we are gonna have a great show where anybody has a shot on winning! I wouldnt miss it if I was you.... . . ================================================

Depending on the track, the curbs and line paint has poor grip under wet conditions. Stepping on curbs or paint can be nasty on some places..... All the rest is just right. Mod makers have to deal with the laws of physics, driving and more importantly.... the game engine limitations! It's a tricky equation....

This isn't Vancouver, where some places you can't go two wide AT ALL. lol I hope as many of you, do the race as possible. It is no chatham, but it is one of the first wet races for any Nascar Heat leagues, it might have been done already, but I doubt it.

it was a great race, at least from where i was at, the top three ran pretty smooth, i wasn't in the zone, my times were down, from testing, but even if it were, i don't think i would have caught triz. maybe ron, but ron would have made it hard.
Triz had that thing dialed in. But hey, two in a row podiums for me, and three in a row for Ron!
