o be honest oval racing is only very popular in the United States. Most other countries are 100 percent RC racing./quote] Unless you count the UK, where the local short tracks are very popular (dirt and asphalt) and they run those funky looking BriSCA cars and buses and 4 cyl cars and crash around with them all. They've also grown fond of NASCAR over there too, just like they did with the NFL football. Yeah, they've got BTCC, F1 and and stuff like that, but just like here in the U.S., they like their oval racing too. ;D

HA! I learn something new every day. It's also a matter of personal taste. Some guys like RC and Oval racing.. ;D Some guys just like ovals, and some just RC. I guess it's also a matter of personal taste of what you like at the end of the day.

The key is to find the fun/challenge where it is. You can find big challenges in both oval and road racing. You just have to be interested on finding where they are. What many racers dont have is the required motivation to do the crossover to any of the styles. I have no doubt that most of the ones who did it have found new and exciting challenges waiting for them right there.

for me, there are some tracks I just don't get, but that usually comes down to practice, or lack thereof, i can usually tell in my results. practice usually shows good results.
Interlagos I started practicing last week, got to a good point, I couldn't beat my ghostcar anymore, and I didn't want to change the setup because i was happy with it. But then practicing yesterday, after seeing what chris did, I bested myself easily. So for me, having a time to shoot for is helpful. When I don't know where the glass ceiling is, I have a harder time. And sometimes by the time I know, it is too late.

Try these changes I lowered camber 2 degrees as you don't want high camber for such a long race unless you plan to make more than 1 pitstop. Moved front weight to 50. I did a 1:33.7 lap with these changes in a porsche. The only other thing I would do is add more rear rebound, my preference is for slightly higher rear rebound than rear bump and I'd also raise the final gear 1 click but as I said those are personal preferences, it might work for some and not work for others.
