yeah, what i thought,, i have a long ways to go no matter what i do to set, i get same results,, oh well, thanks spike, cya on the track I only did a handful of laps today online with this track and got into the times that were mentioned up above. I've been in the zen mode of doing other things. I took the in game setup from Road America, and changed the brake bias to 64. Now, I do plan on getting online tomorrow night at 7:30pm eastern. If you care to join me tomorrow night, I'll tweak that in game setup for the both of us. BTW: If you plan on racing Saturday please post in the other thread the car # you plan on driving. Cheers, Dave

You are 100 percent correct Wes, it's certainly not a good track with newer racers, but we are here to help any way we can with open practices.. Interlagos is a very challenging and demanding track. It can get very frustrating for new drivers and even veteran drivers also.. Now with keeping this in mind, it's not about who is the fastest driver out there. This track demands that you focus 100 percent while racing, and also to be patient at other times. This type of track you are racing the track itself, not the other drivers.

very true about this being a very demanding track dave , for the new and vet drivers,, to be honest, i consider myself a vet driver, i raced heat from the time it came out on the shelf in 2000 to 2004, in many leagues and many different mods, with some of the best drivers,, including true life racers who were using the sim to prepare for upcoming races. For me,, and i know for others to,, specially seasoned drivers,, my achilles heal,, are high speed tracks,, with 1 or more very slow turns it's in a racers nature to go all out,, and u want to go fast, lol, so we tend to over shoot the turn,, or dread the turn coming up and brake to soon, then get slammed from the rear,, so as a golden rule,, and u will even hear pro drivers say this,, sometimes slower is better,, don't try to go as fast as u can through the slow turns,, practice making it thru the turn slow,, and getting back in the gas smooth and at the right time so u don't spin the tires and lose it coming out of the turn,, in other words, patience,, then lap times will improve. also join the practices, and when at the end of each run, save the replays,, later u can run the replay,, and bless heat for this feature,, u can ride in car with the faster drivers and observe their brake and shift points, and what lines they use for entering turns. hope that helps,, sorry to everyone if this got a lil long winded, lol, but i could write a book on racing techniques. Also this is one of the best mods i've ever driven,, and perfect for this kind of track! ;D so thanks again dave, u did an awsome job on this mod

I could write a book on this also. When I first started on IRF back in 2003, I use to keep replays and go over them big time. 3 guys who helped me out big time were EFgordon, Rookiesrock and Kyle. Kyle and Rookie, are freaking fast drivers, and they have a love of RC driving that I have, those two guys several years ago, taught me so much about RC racing I will never forget those times practicing with them. Then I met Crash, and it just made me wanna go EVEN faster with RC racing.. Oh the great memories from the earlier days!!

Yes, this is a challenging track. It has more then 4 turns and is going up and down. This makes it fun That's why it is one of my favorite track. It requires focus and technique. So practise is in order. I don't want to bump someone in the head or be offensive, but this is why i only race RC and not ovals. To me ovals pose no challenge to me. So I will be happy to race this track on sathurday. Just as Spa will be fun and Daytona RC and ofcourse Grand Valley. So all is needed is practise. Get to know the track. cheers, Triz
