hehehe I just posted this in another thread about the pitstalls. I just ran offline, indeed positions 1-10 get a pit lane penalty it holds you up almost another 10 seconds. Now I also tested against the AI's with myself pitting on the left hand side, and it does even it out. So even thou the guys on right hand side have a shorter pit lane entrance then the left hand side, it EVENS out with the left hand side, since they don't get a pit lane penalty automatically. Ryan, you can also double check me on the above tonight to confirm if you would like. Thanks again for your help and Karl's during practice today!! Fun time as always. Actually I may have figured a way around the penalty, I stayed all the way to the left and just before my pit stall I turned into my stall & didn't receive a penalty. It might have just been a fluke but I'm going to try it a few more times. before that happened I was thinking about not qualifying and just starting in the back row. Was this during a test, or during a race?

Is this what your looking for DaveO? Don't know if it matters but the 3 times I was able to do it where during test sessions not races, kinda got sick of the AI spinning me into the wall @ the green flag starts ;D . Attachments:

it doesn't do it during tests, only during races. Well a quick test is to hop online on the server. Since you guys are sitting on the forum, could one of you meet me in the server right now to test this out? Heading in now!

Ucrdoh and I just tested online, and even when you enter the pits all the way to the left, it will give you a pit lane penalty. So what happened to Spike only happens while testing offline, and NOT online during a race.

Glad you guys got it clarified. This could have even happened to the original Sears Point tough once it seems to be some kind of bug in Heat's code. ================================================ BTW, there's an important information for the drivers that have penalties to pay at Sonoma: the drive thru's must be paid ALWAYS on the left lane no matter the driver's qualifying position. That's easy to remember: DRIVE THRU's = LEFT LANE The race official will remember the drivers about it in the pre-race meeting. But keeping this in mind since now will be of great help. Thanks. .

Any chance you'll be on the server tonight for some testing/setup tweaking?

So what happened to Spike only happens while testing offline, and NOT online during a race. Did a quick race this morning & got a lane penalty even staying all the way to the left. The AI was nice enough to punt me into the wall again ;D , there is no give with them lol.
